Karvel Anderson's collegiate career came to an end last night in a 81-72 loss to Belmont. Anderson scored 23 and drained a three from the top of the key as his last shot in a Colonial uniform.
Possibly the best player ever to suit up for Robert Morris. Some tidbits about his career below:
- 1,123 career points (19th all-time, first among two-year players)
- 710 points in 2013-14, smashing Myron Walker's school record of 614
- First player in 22 years in the NEC to shoot 50/40/80 (51.0% FG, 46.3% 3PT, 84.1% FT)
- 19.7 PPG in 2013-14, third highest in school history
- Single-season record holder in 3PT made and attempted
- Career record holder in 3PT percentage (45.2%)
- One of three players to hold single-season 3PT made record (9)
- NEC Player of the Year in 2013-14
- Four games this season with 30+ points, including a career-high 38 against St. John's
- Averaged 12.5 PPG (47.5 FG%, 43.9 3PT%, 84.9 FT%) in 2012-13 with a broken shooting wrist
And of course there's everything that's been documented about his personal life and upbringing.
He should, at the very least, get a summer league look for the NBA. If that doesn't work out, then there's no doubt he'll have a very successful career overseas.
