2014 NFC Championship Game: #5 San Francisco 49ers at #1 Seattle Seahawks

ill take Seattle to win because of the Home Field...but SF to cover the spread.

that's half true. Of course you use your strengths but the fact is neither NFC QB has a well rounded game and aren't really good passers to begin with. That's still a negative for their individual talents.

SF -great receivers with half decent QB. Seattle-half decent QB with sorry receivers.

this game is in Seattle so odds are its the Seahawks who win. It will look like a 1930s game early on and then the 49ers fall into quicksand the whole second half.


...another thing, how can the NFC be considered the stronger conference when the same damn team has made it to the conference championship 3 years in a row with a streaky, mediocre QB ?

If SF gets to the SB, theres no way they win it because Boldin was on the team that beat them last year.If Boldin gets a SB ring a second year in a row with a different team it makes the SB look like a simple joke that's easy to accomplish LOL


all that said, I may actually enjoy this game early on because it will look like old school football for a while.....even though its gay cherry red vs gay day-glow green :troll:

The Patriots have made it to the Conference Championship 8 of the last 13 years. God the AFC must be incredibly weak.

Seattle and SF have sub par QBs without question but its not a QB driven league anymore and its obvious they have a chance to win it all.

You made some whacky claim that the NFC isn't stronger because SF has made it to the conference championship 3 years in a row. I make the EXACT SAME ARGUMENT and point out that NE has made it to 8 of the last 13 in the AFC. Then you question what my statement proves or disproves. :dead:

no honey, I said last year as rookies they shouldn't. I like anyone else understands that as they get older-play more games- its more possible. Yet they are still very green compared to their peers. That's a simple fact.

The crowd noise can play a huge factor in Sunday's game for a whole host of reasons.. namely..

- The 49ers are terrible at getting plays called in time and have wasted several timeouts already in far less hostile environments.

- The crowd noise gives the Seahawks pass rush a distinct advantage in pressuring Kaepernick .. paired with the Seahawks secondary that has already proven to give Kaep pure hell up in Seattle. When Kaep is flustered and not allowed to get comfortable he makes a lot of mistakes and begins to lock onto his receivers. He's gotten away with two pick 6's already this postseason (one of them that could have eliminated the 49ers completely) because the defender flat dropped the pick.

The 49ers are indeed hot, but playing in Seattle is a whole different animal. If the 49ers run the ball as well as the Saints did Saturday, then yes.. there could be a problem.. but the past 7 games in Seattle Frank Gore has been held under 100 yards, and in the past 2 games he has been held to just 22 yards per game. If the Seahawks shut down the run like that, the 49ers are in trouble.

I agree, the QB thing is a struggle. Nothing amazing from Russ AGAIN this week and it terrifies me. BUT he doesn't make mistakes which is great when Marshawn is getting the job done.

Well, the 49ers haven't allowed a single player to rush for 100 yards this season, so I think that trying to bank on your running game might not be what you want to do.
