Referees take away opportunities to decide games again. Disgusting officiating continues.

Karma is a bitch. Sweet justice for last week. Although it was the correct call according to the rules, it is a TERRIBLE rule and I honestly thought it should have been a catch as well. The way she goes.

That's a catch everyday and 88 times on Sunday. Horrible horrible (correct) call on a dumb rule. Its just sad.

Also, as much as I know it was a catch, it wouldn't have mattered, GB would have won anyway with 4 minutes to get a FG.

But still a catch, would have liked to see the comeback.

As I said last week refs botched 2 calls that led to Detroit scores early. That call at the end was just the last of a series of fuck ups unfortunately for Detroit they got the short end of the stick by getting the last bad call.

This is pretty clear. Bryant has the ball ,has control that's not under dispute by any officials on the field. It's whether that lunge forward was a football act or part of the "falling process to the ground" he CLEARLY had control of his body taking 3 fuckin steps and trying to dump himself to the goal line. Just because it doesn't look like a madden cover they don't call it a football move. It's atrocious officiating brought on by a stupid rule that shouldn't have applied.
Be objective not bitter.

That's my fuckin problem with it. I'm not here like these bitter Detroit fans saying that's why we lost. I'm saying the game AGAIN was decided by refs. It's BS. The massively high likely hood based on that games momentum was Dal scores and gives GB the ball with about 3 on the clock. Aaron Rodgers hobbled on the frozen tundra marching down the field and getting several shots for a TD. We were robbed of a great ending one way or the other.

I'll agree with the consensus in saying that it was called correctly on the field. He was falling down from the highest point he had to reach to catch the football and when he hit the ground the ball popped out. Incomplete pass according to the rule. But the rule will probably be changed in the offseason.

Am I a packers fan? Yes.
Am I happy to see my team advance with the help of questionable call from a referee? Yes

The Cowboys and their fans have good reason to be upset and they'll get over it. It's not like packers fans don't know what it's like to watch their team lose because of a questionable call....

And with that we move on to Seattle.

Whether you're a diehard , a gambler , or a casual you should be disgusted that 2 playoff games essentially came to an end because **All Star** referees couldn't get out of their own ways and get calls right. I've been telling you clowns how abysmal refs are and Goodell caved like the bitch he is by renewing the Officiating deal. Most of you were crying about that Sea/GB debacle but here we are years later and the cream of the crop refs still can't agree on game deciding calls. Being indifferent or shrugging your shoulders because of who benefits and who doesn't is dumb.

Do I think this is right? Hell no. But it comes with being a fan of sports. And it gives us something to argue about and talk about long after the game has ended.

Again, the Cowboys and their fans will move on like always. There will be a 30 for 30 or some other outside the lines documentary about this and the fallout just like other similar moments.

The sports gods giveth and the sports gods taketh away. I wouldn't be surprised to see the packers on the short end next week and I'll be here arguing to the end my teams side of the argument.

I'd rather argue about Cowboys reverting to previous years by passing on 3rd and 1 for the second week in a row. How #54 gave up on 3 key plays , or how Demarco Murray's refusal to cover up the ball in traffic was the real reason we lost the game. Or how impressed I was with Rodgers taking the needle at half time and catching fire in the second half.
But anyways point taken ,thanks given this place needs all the discussion it can get.

Btw this makes 3 weeks in a row refs make a wtf are you blind call in a Dallas game. I said this would have been arguably run of the year as he had nothing but daylight ahead of him. Eerily reminiscent of Barry's hand spin in Buffalo and Emmitts handstand against GB.

To his credit he ran for 35 the next play anyway.

Refs did not decide the game. If they had decided the game, then they would have misinterpreted the rule, missed a call, or fabricated a penalty. None of which happened. They did their jobs. It's not their fault that the NFL has seen this situation for a half decade & still haven't moved to fix the problem. Zebras did just as they were trained to do.

I know what you're saying but the point I and many talking heads have tried to make is that it shouldn't apply here. It wasn't an out of bounds or end zone play. For all intents and purposes a WR who catches and secures the ball then stumbles for 10 yards and drops it will be told it's an incompletion by yesterday's application. That rule doesn't apply if the reason he's moving forward and/or down is by his own balance and accord. Completing the process is meant for off balance and unintended movements not post catch intentional maneuvers. At worst I thought that was a spotting of the ball issue or a bizarre fumble interpretation. It's incomprehensible that someone can actually look at that and say he was basically stumbling and out of control. On top of the fact the on field call was a catch meaning they had irrefutable evidence he wasn't making a football move ? That's silly.

We all know it should be a catch, KOF. I've got no argument against that. But the refs have no choice in the matter. They can't pick & choose when to apply the rule. the issue is that the rule exists period. Not how the refs did their job.
