Going onto year 7 or 8 now (can't remember now its been so long) where I won't be buying this on release day and if I do get it I'm definatly buying it used. EA doesn't deserve my support on this.

The gameplay trailer was laughable. It still looks like utter shit.

They really think Im gonna waste my money on this shit when BF3, is coming out too. If nothing else in the fall was coming out then maybe, but ive learned my lesson. With Gears and BF, Madden gets no play.

Supposedly the Franchise blog is coming on May 17th. Says there's "Over 100 additions to Franchise mode"...so until I see that blog I'm not going to get too excited. Some of the features they mentioned was all-new rookie scouting, free agent bidding system, and dynamic player performance, and expanded rosters.

No joke man, I miss the days of the PS2 franchise. Hell, even that wasn't THAT great, but it was bearable. I remember playing Madden 04 & 05 all day everyday offline AND online. I can't remember the last time I actually finished a full season in Franchise in the past 4 years.

If it weren't for leagues, I wouldn't bother. The first trailer looks like they just pulled from NCAA, didn't see anything in the second trailer that jumps out or seperates 12 from 11. Can't wait to see the exploits in the new coverage schemes.

We have a winner. Bad year for football to potentially not happen. If these improvements end up not making a difference, I won't buy it.

Hell, I probably won't buy it now. As you said with Gears and Battlefield, it won't get much play. With all the other games coming out around the same time, it won't get any play this year with me. I won't be a customer this year unless the game somehow ends up blowing everyone out of the water. And we all know how likely that is to happen.

As far as the individual team intros, they will be cool the first time you see them, After that? Not so much.

And the game play video looks exactly the same. Is it just me or do the players always kind of have this hitch or hiccup, right before they get hit or make a sideline catch, or whatever? It's like there is no transition to the individual animations.

Exactly. Once I see them a couple times I'll just skip the intro. Stuff like that should just be a nice addition on the side, not a major feature.
