WR Deion Branch released from Pats, as was Dan Koppen, and QB Seneca Wallace is done with the Browns. Bills cut DT Dwan Edwards. S OJ Otogwe cut from Eagles too.

I was really surprised the pats cut Jabar Gaffney. After that happened though I was sure that Deion Branch's roster spot was safe so thats an even bigger surprise.

Considering Shiancoe is on the roster, and that all three tight ends could be on the field at the same time, it doesn't surprise me that they cut Branch and Gaffney (though I thought they would keep Branch.) That gives them the roster flexibility elsewhere.

Shiancoe is cut too. Gronk,Hernandez, and Fells are the TEs. I expect Gaffney back once he gets healthy. He hurt his quad in preseason. I also wouldn't be surprised if Branch is back at some point too after Week 1 so his salary isn't guaranteed or w/e.

Parrish was just signed early in the week, presumably for punt-return insurance. His release suggests WR Jacoby Ford (foot) has a chance to play in the season opener.

Aaron Curry on the PUP - I honestly thought they'd just release him, save that salary money, and have Miles Burris start on the weakside.

And I hope Eddy Carmona latches on somewhere. Dude nailed 52 and 56 yard field goals in the preseason. He's good.

I'm a little surprised that Haggans got cut. Disappointed that Quan Sturdivant didn't pan out as a steal like most expected. I'm happy that Laron Byrd made the team.

Safety Tanard Jackson has been suspended indefinitely without pay for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse. His suspension begins immediately, and he is eligible for reinstatement beginning on Aug. 31, 2013.

i was surprised by senica wallace and evan moore for the browns. wallace seemed to be the better choice forbackup over mccoy, but i like mccoy so i am glad they kept him. I figured the possible QB controversy would be why they kept senica

Evan Moore was a big surprise because the touted him as a matchup nightmare and someone whose skills they could take advantage of. Then they sign him to a new contract last year...and totally dont utilize him what so ever, then cut him this year. Just makes no sense from a logical stand point....but we are taking about the fucked up browns, so it makes perfect sense.
