hey celts i cant find a thing on strickland, was he drafted this year or something?

My guess is he's a bum pitcher, who's been stuck in A ball for a few years, similar to the guy the Brewers just traded to Arizona for Lopez.

3rd year in pro baseball, still in A ball and not exactly tearing it up. Dude has a long way to go.

12:21pm: Ben Badler of Baseball America says the pair of prospects isn't much, not that the Pirates should expect more for two months of LaRoche.

i can't find any fielding stats, but i'm pretty sure Diaz isn't having a great year defensively. He had a high error total the last time i watched the Sea Dogs a few weeks ago, and he actually misplayed an easy grounder in the same game.

Wow.. LaRoche is awful.. way to help fill the void of Papi and Varitek's strikeout bonanza by adding another guy that strikes out all the time.

But I guess considering what they gave up, it was almost like they plucked him off the waiver wire.
