Lenexa Falcons HS enter play offs, seniors get more time to shine

Lenexa, Ks -- Senior year is full of fun for most high schoolers, and after all is said and done everyone goes off to college and do their thing. Most of the time, sports is the main pull of where to go - except for the Lenexa Falcons football program, where only 5 players in the last 4 years has gone to play college football.
The reason for this is unkown, but it's easy to think that if they had more time to show what they're capable of, the colleges would bite and offer scholarships. The problem with time is that the Falcons have always had their potential season cut short - making the play offs just once in the last 10 years.
Last Friday, the victory over Colby (0-6) propelled the Falcons into the play offs, giving seniors more time to pad their resume.
"It's nice to have made history for the school," says senior free safety, Matt LeCamp, "You grind it out throughout the year, and we go lucky despite a poor record - now it's time to make it count."
LeCamp has several colleges looking at him, of course the main attraction to the Falcons' number 10 is the name "LeCamp" which as everyone knows if of his NFL Hall of Fame dad, Matt LeCamp Sr.
LeCamp also has potential to be one of KU's future stars if he chooses to go to the fluttering program.
"I'm not going to KU."
Scratch That.
The first game of the play offs will pit Lenexa HS (5-4) against Salina (8-1) here at the LDSC (Lenexa District Sports Complex) at 8 PM.
