All major Bowl games should be played on Jan. 1, National Championship Jan. 3

I admit I am only a casual college fan, but am I alone thinking this Jan. 10 national championship game - even if it is a damned fraud - is too friggin' late?

IMO, all bowls should be played Jan. 1 or earlier (major ones always played on Jan. 1).

I buy the national championship being special, so make it Jan. 3 (no later).

I find it ridiculous that a casual college football fan like yours truly had to look at a schedule to see when Oregon-Auburn played.

Jan. 10 is a joke. No one cares about college on Jan. 10 (ok, maybe the hardcore college guys) - the NFL playoffs are on.

How do you hardcore college FB fans feel about such a late game?

Are you going to watch the game on January 10th? They win.

Also, January 10th is a Monday which means there are no NFL playoff games, so who cares?

A third point. Why complain about moving the game up 7 days? What is the difference, they have already been off for over a month anyway.

it does suck that you have major bowl games then they throw these shitty ones in there. But its all about the dollars. No way would they let 4 major go off the same day. To many TV rights and advertising dollars lost.

No, "hardcore" college fans aren't crazy about the way things are right now either, but nothing you or I say is going to change the way things work.
