The gaming industry is trying to change the way I play and enjoy games..........I am not really interested right now.

Fuck me...this whole E3 sucked. There was not one hardcore game that stuck out and said WOW I want to play (that I didn't know 6 months before E3...UC3 looks amazing).

I work all day, exercise, entertain a fiancee and whatever else.....I just want to sit down at the end of the day and put my feet up and play some hardcore video games with my controller. I don't want to wave my arms, yell at the kinect or even stand up.

I sat in front of my 25 inch monitor last night and played Witcher 2 for 2 hours and loved every minute of it....

Are we being extinct? FU Nintendo!

I'm also disappointed in the lack of new IPs, but at least motion control is optional for the time being for PS3 and 360.

Online play is as far as I wanna go. If I can turn on my system and play good games with people all across the world I'm good with that for the rest of my life. Just give me good games to play.

The crazy stuff they're trying to introduce(especially Nintendo) is unnecessary. They're trying to add to the experience of playing a game, instead of actually adding to the quality of games.

As much as I love my parents, when I was a kid I was glad there were video games, so I didn't have to deal with the BS my family had to go through all the time. Video games gave me a break.

I disliked the Wii from the second I first tried it, now it's infuriating to see MS and PS both copycat it. Seems like the kind of games I enjoy are either getting fazed out or dumbed down. These companies just blindly chasing that dollar and not worrying about making quality games anymore.

I agree. If I wanted motion control, adding an experience to playing a game and interact with family, I would go outside and do that.

I played PS Move for the first time at bestbuy in NYC for about 10 mins. I played ping pong and after hitting the ball about 20-30 times I said fuck this....lets go play some real ping pong. Why would I simulate things I can do in real life and are more fun to do in real life....why????

I"m with you brother... I work hard, manual labor, 10 hours a day and I'm almost 44 years old. The last thing I want to do in order to entertain myself is move LOL

That is why I love baseball season. Every night I can plant my ass down on the couch for 3 hours and watch the Tigers play.

developers are only trying to maximize their games by adding features that casual fans might like, but having the main game be able to play like it always has

sort of like a dev adding in a color blind or autistic mode for a game. doesn't take away from the game, but if someone wants to use it they can.

I was honestly so happy the day I got rid of the Wii and decided to go to the Xbox. I forget some times that I actualy owned that shit. I had Madden 08 I believe, as they didn't make hockey, and the rage I got from that was enough to make me sell it. Got $400 for the Wii, extra controller/nunchuck and game. Turned that into a xbox, 7 games and guitar for GH3. Was a sick buy to say the less.

Nothing is stopping you guys from playing old games, I haven't bought a "new game" in ages. Probably last new game was borderlands, and that was a while ago.

Agreed completely. Its a fad in my mind- motion gaming at most will be a niche market. I don't think games are going to go completely in that direction. We just have to wait it out while it goes mainstream and fails.

Mario Galaxy has almost none besides the spin move and its kinda nice having the 2 parts separate.

There are hardcore games still around, i cant wait for dark souls and cursed crusade, along with Sykrim and others.

the thing I hate is how all games are all trying to be like GTA. The whole open world gameplay is fun but what gets tedious are all the little side missions you have to do sometimes.

Depends on how you do it. I actually have really grown tired of GTA. I didn't even finish GTAIV, yet I could play Vice City and San Andreas for a long time. I really like Saints Row and the side missions that go on there, and I also love Assassin's Creed. They have worked out open world very well for connecting the various story movements since the first one was terrible for that.
