An observation after my first online game

I lost 31-17 to Chargersfan (he had Falcons, I had Eagles).

If you dare run a 4-3 vs 3wr or 4wr set this year, you are going to get your ass handed to you.

For the first time, ordinary linebackers simply cannot cover slot receivers or elite TEs,

Chargersfan kicked my sorry ass. I simply wasn't ready for the screens. They're a weapon the CPU doesn't use enough against a big time blitzer like yours truly.

My first online game was smooth. No lag whatsoever. But it's too early to make judgments on such things. We'll see what it's like Friday.

I will run an Online Home for my games this year, starting Friday.

Sidenote: Chargersfan didn't use the wildcat, but I noticed this in a game vs the CPU. I think it's stupid that the game tells you the opposition is coming out in the wildcat. It should just say 2RB, 1TE, etc.... The wildcat is supposed to surprise defences.

Not really. You won legitimately. I simply couldn't stop you on D.

I thought my pass O was ok. It was hard to judge my run game, because I really never got a chance to even see if I had one.

IMO, it's close to that status.

I really like this game - online and offline.

It's not perfect, but it's the best next-gen Madden by a wide margin (but like Adembroski said - that's like winning the Special Olympics).

I need to get to bed. I've been up all day and honestly just lost a game v.s one of my friends that doesn't know the first thing about Madden. I'm down in the dumps right now. Tomorrow Night this place is going to be insane. We can try to play then.

Yeah I have noticed that too, the 4-3 is crap against 3wr and 4wr, I was getting tore up by that all day yesterday. I hope the online play doesnt change to much when everyone else gets the game cause right now it is amazing and I'm loving this game.

With the blocking schemes this year, 4-3 leaves too many bubbles....

EDIT: Clarifying.....bubbles in the run game and if you don't have some fast LBs, you die! 3-4 on pass plays.....I find works pretty well.
