It’s really sad to see what the Mets have become: A great franchise, on the biggest stage in sports, is now a laughingstock. Ownership is trying to turn the Mets, a big-market franchise, into a small-market franchise. That’s not just sad, it’s disgusting.

You know what I think when I read about the Mets nowadays? We’ve become the Oakland A’s. We’re the Pittsburgh Pirates. Our fans deserve better than that. You can’t possibly build a dynasty when you’re cutting costs left and right. The only way to turn it around is to sell the team.

Mixed feelings on this. It's nice to see a player step up and say what must be said. Also sucks that the players feel this way. That is not helping the Mets at all. The Wilpons really need to sell this team.

What they did to Church should've brought a serious internal investigation and complete overhaul of the training staff. They fucked his career up.

I would say Dickey is a good guess. I was thinking Duda but he's too young to rock the boat like that, plus it's not like he has a frame of reference to compare the Mets to.

Maybe it was Murphy, whichever one the Mets have.

Another issue Warner, the Beltran issue from a couple years back. Team didn't approve him having surgery on his knee. He said fuck it and had his hand picked surgeon do it.

They punted...they hope bringing in the walls, and hope Bay comes back to himself with Ike being Ike and Santana being his old self to get some wins...good luck with that.

In one regard...I like what they are doing by cutting salary and payroll, because its obvious that the Mets can't contain themselves and give money away to scrubs.

This will at least allow this putrid team to shed these awful contracts to awful players ASAP.
