He is denying even shooting the gun, and while I'm not entirely sure it's the best move, he could come out on top. If the only witnesses are Talib's mom and sister, and they both claim he didn't shoot the gun, then what's left?
Also, in his situation... he had just pistol whipped a guy who treated his sister poorly, dropped the gun, and now this guy has it. Talib's mom is firing off rounds at an armed person who has already harmed the family before. What does Talib do? Sit and watch his mom miss a few more times before this guy turns around and fires back?
I'm just holding some little grain of hope that somehow he remains on the roster.

A felony charge against Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Aqib Talib was dropped by Dallas County prosecutors Monday, his attorney Frank Perez said.Talib was set to stand trial on June 25 on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
