Wild Tokoro showed up this time and immediately got dropped on his head. Shit was crazy and a little scary to see him get attended to. I hope he's OK. He might end up retiring after this.
Mach/Chonan was pretty boring.
Kawajiri beasted on Miyata. I really can't wait for him to face Takaya for the DREAM title.
Kikuno/Nagashima was just a brawl. Kikuno took it to him in the K-1 round and was even bullying the larger Nagashima.
Lion Takeshi absolutely shit the bed (again) and got booed on NYE. He tried fight outside and drag Takaya into the later rounds, but Takaya constantly kept the pressure and didn't allow him to get establish a real rhythm, so he just sat back and danced all night. Zero urgency until the last 15 seconds or so. Inoue is a very good FW, but this just embarrassing. :smh:
That was a bad matchup on paper for Takaya and just kept fighting through Inoue's reach and kept increasing his output in the later rounds. Very impressive.
I was actually sad during the intro of Aoki/Kitaoka. It's pretty clear they're BFFs. Aoki is just the better fighter. Kitaoka was getting battered on his feet and in danger on the ground, but was doing his best to survive in there and showed a lot of heart. Aoki's standup looked great compared to where it was against Shaolin.
Fedor did light work against Ishii. I think he's ready to come back Stateside.
Schiavello and Kogan calling the pro wrestling as if it was legit was really awesome and made the matches much more interesting.
