Well now I guess we don't see Schoop, which sucks. They'll keep him down in the minors till Davis, Wieters, and Markakis leave and bat cleanup in 2016.

I'd love for him to have another half season in AAA, but even that is pushing it, as Schoop doesn't really have much left to prove there. I do think we will see him when rosters expand for certain, and I could also see him as a call-up around the trade deadline.

Dombroski logic: Fister = Krol and Ray.

I always thought Lombo was overrated. If I were Dom, I would have insisted on Walters being thrown in. In fact, I would have taken him in place of Ray.

Any particular reason you think he's overrated? I actually like having a utility player who isn't a complete blackhole of offense like Flaherty is, but that's just me.

I gave Flaherty a lot of crap last year, and while his bat won't improve, the glove more than makes up for it. He made some great plays today. Also happy with Buck's use of the pen again, and Nelson Cruz absolutely crushed that home run.

Goes back to the 70's, they've played it since then. The Braves also play it, as do a number of hockey teams, most of them in Canada though.

Lough will get the start in LF tonight and hit second, Lombardozzi will hit ninth and play at second.

One bright spot early this season? Chris Tillman. He put the team on his back yesterday with a great start against the Tigers.

The offense finally woke up today, hope that's a sign of things to come. Chen scattered nine hits and allowed four runs, and that's definitely concerning after allowing 12 hits in his last start.

He caps at six innings, will rarely go over that. He throws a lot of junk and goes deep into counts, which factors into that. Miguel Gonzalez is much the same. One of them wouldn't be bad, but having two pitchers like that makes for too much stress on the bullpen over a season.

Going to the game tonight :runaway: Hoping Tillman can continue the success he's had in his first two starts.

Extremely impressed with Tillman, that was a great pitching performance last night. The defense would catch up to us, and it did with those throwing errors that cost us the game. I am surprised our offense couldn't touch McGowan, he was giving them good pitches to hit time after time.

Just pointing out that, for two days where the Orioles have scored a combined 21 runs, Ryan Flaherty has gone 0-7. :machado: is needed back in the worst way.

At least Machado is currently raking on his rehab assignment. I think something else besides the oblique injury could be bothering Davis. Even before last year's breakout, the power was there and we just haven't seen it yet.

Markakis plays a good first base though, hopefully they rotate people around in the outfield and send Flaherty to his well-deserved spot on the bench.
