And with my ballot out, everyone is just going to take the NL MVP results and factor my ballot in to see what happens. The only way Gooby can "win" this one is to put my ballot in.

The funny thing, is that I get it. Braun's his favorite player, and right now has gone through a lot of bad press and the steroid cloud hangs over him. Rafael Palmeiro was my third favorite player (behind Ripken and Mussina) growing up, and it sucks that a guy who has a fantastic resume isn't going to make the Hall of Fame for quite some time, if at all. Braun's got the same stuff to deal with, as do the Brewers and fans of the team. Gooby's taken a lot of flack for the Brewers this year, but it's all in good fun, and the team was pretty damn close to the playoffs anyway. No harm in that.

Like everyone else, I put some time and thought into these, and I'd like for them to be added to the rest. I don't need a special notification on this thread or anything like that, just for my picks to be factored in like everyone else.

The BBWAVSN has issued the following statement:

All voting decisions are final, and will not be overturned or recalculated to include ballots from new or banned writers in the Association. Prior to the announcement of the 2012 MLB year end awards the decision was made by the Chairman of the Association to remove the ballot of one writer from the current and all future awards voting processes. This was done with not done due to contempt or dislike for the aforementioned writer, but rather to withhold the integrity of the association. Ballots deemed reckless or those containing careless oversights have always, and will always be removed from the process. The BBWAVSN has always prided itself in celebrating the very best players in baseball. Including such ballots would be imprudent on the Association's behalf, as well as unfair to the players, fans, and other writers.

All results were calculated with the utmost integrity. The ballots were then submitted to Arthur Andersen, LLP for review. Arthur Andersen, LLP has provided the Association with assurance that the 2012 voting results have been calculated correctly and are an honest following of the rules set forth in the BBWAVSN charter and rulebook. Furthermore a second set of results were calculated, that included the henceforth banned writer's ballots. The final winners of the second set of results were the same. However the decision remains final to exclude the ballot from the official results.

The remaining BBWAVSN 2012 MLB Year End Awards will be reviewed in the coming days. The Association is pleased to present them, and looks forward to friendly conversation and critique of the awards.

Way to duck man, good job, give yourself a pat on the back for messing up something that could have been fun for the site. Hope you enjoy everyone criticizing your work when you reveal Braun as the NL MVP and then someone does the work and factors my ballot in for the real winner.

That's the real troll that occurs here- there is no way you come out of this with a win unless you put my ballot into the process :violin:

The reason I'm doing this isn't so much to see who wins. But to look at the rest of the ballots. 25 different players were named on the AL MVP ballot. There's a lot of interesting names there. It's fun to make fun of the guys who homer it up and put Ryan Howard on the list, shit like that. AL ROY is no different, I mean somebody voted for Jake McGee for fucks sake.

Hey could someone make a banner for these articles to go with them when they are posted to the front page? I was thinking maybe put "VSN MLB End of Year Awards 2012" on it. Then put pictures of Trout and Braun (for obvious reasons) in the background.
