While it's now down to the Angels and Braves I think, leaving the Orioles off this list was an oversight. They might have the best defensive outfield, but we will have to see which Nate McLouth shows up this year at the plate. Since the thread is making me choose, I'm going with the Angels.

Eh, I would probably have listed Detroit or Toronto before I even got to Baltimore. And it's hard to find a better defensive OF than the one that has two plus plus CFs and another guy who could hold his own in center (Angels) or the one with the last two RF Fielding Bible winners (Barves). I personally am of the belief that McLouth is pretty bad in the field, FWIW.

If Milwaukee doesn't belong on this list then I'm not sure who does. I'm not saying Milwaukee has the best OF, but it sure would cut down on the teams in consideration. Including Toronto.

So, you're still looking at a couple of guys in their thirties who have been inconsistent at best over the course of their careers. It's not a safe bet that they'll be allstars in 2013. I mean you have Cabrera, who was terrible until he took steroids, and Baustista who outside of a two year run, has been pretty bad himself. I'm not here to play what if with the 2012 season. Looking at what actually happened, it's clear that the Brewer's outfield performed better then your guys in Toronto. And considering the age of the players, it's more reasonable for them to repeat the performance/continue to trend upwards, then it is for Toronto's OF to almost double their production in order to match Milwaukee's.
This coming from someone who thinks Colby Rasmus is something special.
Rasmus has been awful 3 out of his 4 years in the league, and his performance has been declining over the last two.But Carl is in "the best shape of his life." As long as the Dodgers don't face any lefties then they should be pretty good. :shifty:
