So, you're still looking at a couple of guys in their thirties who have been inconsistent at best over the course of their careers. It's not a safe bet that they'll be allstars in 2013. I mean you have Cabrera, who was terrible until he took steroids, and Baustista who outside of a two year run, has been pretty bad himself. I'm not here to play what if with the 2012 season. Looking at what actually happened, it's clear that the Brewer's outfield performed better then your guys in Toronto. And considering the age of the players, it's more reasonable for them to repeat the performance/continue to trend upwards, then it is for Toronto's OF to almost double their production in order to match Milwaukee's.
This coming from someone who thinks Colby Rasmus is something special.Rasmus has been awful 3 out of his 4 years in the league, and his performance has been declining over the last two.
I never said Colby Rasmus was anything special. Dont put words in my mouth to help your flawed argument. Im not the one dick-riding a below average player coming off a career year he could only repeat playing a video game.
Ill take my chances that Joey Bats improves the numbers he put up from last season while dealing with injuries. We'll wait and see on Melky, but considering it wasnt his power numbers that were jacked up it may be reasonable to think he can match something similar to what he did in Kansas City in 2011. And even if Colby Rasmus is below average, theres very little reason for me to believe Carlos Gomez is going to continue to be more "productive" than him, atleast if we're basing it on his career prior, which you seem to enjoy doing. :lesmug:
Ill take the Jays upside by far, and would be downright shocked if Gomez can match last seasons numbers, maybe even Aoki, but I have more faith in him than the bum that is Gomez.
Also maybe Ryan Braun's steroid's have been responsible for his career too. :kobe:
