Sony has announced that PlayStation 3 copies of BioShock Infinite will include a copy of the original BioShock for free.

According to the PlayStation Blog, a free copy of BioShock will be included on BioShock Infinite's Blu-Ray disc. As previously revealed, the PlayStation 3 version of Infinite will also be enhanced with PlayStation Move compatibility.

Irrational Games and 2K are putting together two limited-quantity BioShock Infinite collector's editions with some pretty cool extras, and those who pre-order can also play the Industrial Revolution puzzle game.

will this game have multiplayer? the MP in bioshock 2 was pretty damn fun in a mindless shooter kind of way. it was pretty fun running around in big daddy suits shooting plasmids all over the place.

I don't believe so. Not only was it probably just you and five other people that played that mode, that was 2K Marin, not Irrational. I'm pretty sure they give no fucks about multiplayer and just want to concentrate on the story, like they did with the first game.

Hopefully I get some giftcards, so I can pick this up for my Bday (2/27). To be honest, I never even got to finish the first game (and I own both...got the 2nd one on Target clearance). I'm going to start it over before Hitman comes out late November.

Infinite has gone through a bit of development hell, I mean shit the first trailer was two years ago, and we're still two months out. I think multiplayer modes were thrown around a couple of times, but nothing stuck. From wiki:

Irrational Games has not committed to including a multiplayer element within the game. While the team have experimented with concepts for a multiplayer component, Levine has stated that they would only proceed forward if it had elements not otherwise found in multiplayer games like Halo or Call of Duty.[35][36] At least two multiplayer modes were examined but later scrapped by Irrational. One mode was a co-operative mini-game similar to tower defense having the player characters miniaturized within an old-time arcade machine to defend against waves of enemies. This mode was cancelled early on to focus on a four player co-operative mode tentatively titled "Spec-Ops", similar to the mode of the same name from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The four players would have worked their way through levels from the single player game to complete missions under certain requirements. Further development on "Spec-ops" has since been dropped.[

Kudos to Irrational for not putting throwaway multiplayer in the game. However, since they experimented with some things, you can be sure it will be included in the next Bioshock game they put out.
