For real though, it's nice to see that EA's willing to put a little more detail into their games this year when it comes to the television aspect of the sport... I just hope that there is stadium specific details as well.

There is. There's also player specific game intros too.

It's looking like the flyovers will occur in the Superbowls, Championship games, and all open-stadium home openers.

While I saw a large number of cut scenes, unfortunately I saw them mostly out of context as they weren't inserted into their proper places in game, but on a reel that showed all of them that were made at that point. Took a few hours to get through all of them, and they've probably doubled the number of them since.

That's basically Ian's day to day job on the game... he sits and makes these cut scenes... whatever comes to mind beyond what's already planned, he'll just make it, and if it works, he'll have the modelers come in and give it props and stuff.

If they're adding little things like this to the beginning of games imagine what else they may have.

I remember in 2k5 when my quarterback would throw an interception he'd go to the sideline, sit down and talk to the man upstairs. It was the little things that made that game kick so much ass.

Sometimes he'll do that, sometimes he'll yell at a lineman or receiver, sometimes he'll get an ass chewing from the coach, sometimes he'll sit alone on the end of the bench. There's a few of them I saw.

I never really took the time to get an idea how contextual they are (like does the chewing out the lineman happen if he throws an INT under pressure or not), but there's definitely some variety, and I'd say the cut scenes look far more realistic than the 2k5 cut scenes. There were a lot of those, especially sideline touchdown celebrations, that just looked odd. Like the dunking the football through the guys arms... that was just.. goofy.

Honestly, in the big picture this means nothing, but it is really a great little add on IMHO. If they keep adding stuff like this we'll have ourselves a nice presentation.
