Have to say that was a nice offensive performance tonight. Not too shabby since it was against Weaver either.

I said right after it happened, that walk-off hit on Sunday was going to jump start Crawford. And he follows it up with another 2 hit night. Hope he can keep it going.
 
I like all the Sox haters when they were 0-life to start the season. Just like the Spankees the last few years and then they turn it on.

I do fucking hate Adrian Gonzalez and Youk though. How am I suppose to teach my four year old to stand in the box for t-ball and Youk holds the bat like a jerkoff and plays in the majors. How do you tell your kid its not to have a different stance.

Because Youk's stance is an exception. Whats wrong with Gonzo though? His swing is silky smooth.
 
Lester was brilliant tonight. Striking out 11 while only giving up 4 hits and 1 run over 7 IP. I was a little surprised to see Bard in the 8th after Lester being so dominant, was only at 93 pitches after 7. Pap didn't look all that good, but he rarely does when it's a non save situation.

Another multi-hit game for CC, and Gonzo hit his first tater at Fenway. 6-0 against the Halos this year. :D

BOSTON (AP)—The Boston Red Sox have made two moves that could help fill their injury-depleted pitching staff, agreeing to terms with Kevin Millwood(notes) on a minor league contract and acquiring Franklin Morales(notes) from the Colorado Rockies.

The Red Sox also designated struggling left-hander Hideki Okajima(notes) for assignment.

General manager Theo Epstein announced the moves after Boston beat Detroit Thursday night. He says Millwood’s deal is contingent on the right-hander passing a physical.

Millwood opted out of a minor league contract with the Yankees on May 1. He will start out in Fort Myers, Fla.

The Red Sox will give the Rockies a player to be named or cash for the left-handed Morales.

Starters John Lackey(notes) and Daisuke Matsuzaka(notes) both went on the DL this week with right elbow strains.

I also believe Beckett only pitched 80 or so pitches yesterday. That would be a huge loss, but apparently its only minor. Sox are definitely a team that could be in the market for SP in a month or so.
