Given the outcome, it was only fitting that a comedian handled the pregame introductions.

The Chicago Bulls followed actor Will Ferrell's hilarious player introductions with a 90-67 laugher of a win over the Hornets Wednesday night in New Orleans, turning a professional basketball game into comedy at its finest for Bulls fans.

Ferrell's intros were the highlight in a game was never close, as the Bulls enjoyed leads of 13, 13 and 24 points after the first, second and third quarters, then cruised through the final stanza for the win.

In steamrolling yet another team with a losing record - they're a league-best 15-1 against sub-.500 teams - the Bulls, according to a Tweet from Bulls Radio Network producer and stat whiz Jeff Mangurten, became the first team in NBA history to win three consecutive road games by 20 or more points.

Much as I called for in my game preview, the Bulls dialed up the D early by allowing just eight first quarter points, raced out to an early lead, then hit cruise control while managing to get some rest for starters. Other than Luol Deng, who played 34 minutes, no starter played more than 29.

Most impressive was the Bulls' defense, which held the Hornets to a paltry 37 percent from the floor while forcing 18 turnovers to go along with 11 steals.

The only flaw in the win that I saw, other than some sloppy basketball at times, was that Derrick Rose should have been watching from the bench. Rose, who returned to the lineup after missing a game, played just 22 minutes and was clearly bothered by his back. Hopefully, the ever so stubborn Thibs will sit his MVP Friday night against the Charlotte Bobcats, thus giving him three days of rest before Boston on Sunday.

Leading the Bulls in the low-scoring affair was Carlos Boozer with 18 points, six rebounds and three assists, while Joakim Noah turned in another double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Ball movement was, once again, crisp and clean for the most part, with 29 assists on 39 baskets as six players tallied two or more assists.

With the win, the Bulls moved to 22-6 on the season and 5-2 on their 0-game road trip.

Next up: The Bulls play the Bobcats in Charlotte on Friday night before closing out their road trip with a nationally televised game against the Boston Celtics on Sunday.

The Bulls best players right now all have injury issues:

Rose: Recurring toe issues. Now his back.
Rip: Missed more games than he has played.
Deng: Wrist issue. Was taped up again yesterday. Has had injury issues previously.
Boozer: Has had injury issues in past.
Noah: Has had foot/ankle/hand injuries in the past.


Derrick Rose is getting run through the meat grinder night in and night out because they have no one else to respect off the dribble.
