Buy or Sell: The Oregon Ducks will be in the 2011 BCS Title Game

Oregon gets its first true test this weekend in Tempe. But they have looked very tough, no matter how lousy the competition so far.

I really think this team is a dark horse to face Alabama (IMO the clear cut favorite at this point) in the BCS Title game.

While I don't think its out of the realm of possibility, I think its definitely too early in the season to be looking at clear-cut shots at making the BCSCG.

Regardless, I would certainly love to see Oregon make a splash this year. Looking forward to see what an old high school acquaintance can do at wideout for 'em this year [Tuinei]

Not buying it, they still have to face alot of tough teams and would need some teams at the top to falter even if they go undefeated.

Not buying, and I am a huge pac-10 fan and I like Oregon.

People may disagree, but the Pac-10 has some pretty good teams and I don't see Oregon going undefeated. Stanford, ASU, Arizona, USC, and Oregon State can all beat Oregon.

Pac-10 teams usually have a hard time against one another for whatever reason and a let down is common. I don't see any Pac-10 teams going undefeated this season.

I don't think they're better than TCU or Boise and would be unlikely to jump them if both stay undefeated.

I would love to face them again as an Ohio State fan, but I see them losing 2 games before Ohio State does. Oregon is a good team, but they will probably drop 2 games, especially considering they face 2 ranked teams away from Autzen and another 2 at home.

Sticking with my prediction from a month ago.. Bama-Oregon. Only Oregon will be #1 and Bama #2 (after they win out IMO)

Oregon State is the only team IMO that can trip them up. But I think they win out and most likely win the National Championship.

LaMichael James wins the Heisman too.

I think Arizona will give them a test, but they'll probably make it through to the NCG undefeated. Personally, I think they are the most overrated team in the country. Point a minute offense? Yes. Explosive offense? Yes. But when they face a legitimate defense this year from outside the Pac-10, they'll get shut down or contained just like last year. Let's not pretend here, they have faced a horrible line up of defenses as you can see below. The lone legitimate rush defense they faced was Arizona State, who held them to 152 yards rushing on 36 carries, and held LaMichael James to just 3.4 YPC.

New Mexico = 118th total defense, 119th scoring defense, 113th rushing defense, 96th pass defense
Tennessee = 87th total defense, 93rd scoring defense, 83rd rushing defense, 90th pass defense
Portland State (Rankings are among 1-AA teams) = 113th total defense, 114th scoring defense, 112th rushing defense, 79th pass defense
Arizona State = 38th total defense, 54th scoring defense, 15th rush defense, 81st pass defense
Stanford = 30th total defense, 40th scoring defense, 40th rushing defense, 41st pass defense
Washington State = 120th total defense, 116th scoring defense, 119th rushing defense, 107th pass defense
UCLA = 94th total defense, 91st scoring defense, 108th rushing defense, 71st pass defense
USC = 98th total defense, 79th scoring defense, 59th rushing defense, 114th pass defense

im just sayin if your gunna say oregon is overrated just cuz of who they played you gotta say TCU and Boise are overrated too cuz they've played just as bad and worse teams.
