Josh Olin talks about interactive maps.

“I don’t think the community has fully grasped the importance of this. Take Launch, for example, where the rocket takes off. If you’re under it you die, but one of the Search and Destroy bomb sites is under there, and there’s a Demolition site under there too. You have to time your attacks based around when that rocket’s going to go off – and you can use that to win the game. In CTF, I’ve practised with my team here at Treyarch to capture the enemy flag, take it down through that route at just the right time, so the rocket launches and the guys who are chasing me can’t get under there and have to turn round.”

In another multiplayer map, Radiation, a set of blast doors can only be opened and closed via a control panel on a nearby platform. Olin says this could prove decisive in Domination mode.

“If you’ve captured that point, it might be valuable to send a couple of guys up there to take the control panel and close the doors. Now the only point of attack is down through the tunnels – so you know where they’re going to come from, they can’t jump in from above. It can really change how the battle plays out.”

Today's news follows the announcement that four updated co-op maps from Call of Duty: World at War will be made available as part of the Call of Duty(R): Black Ops Prestige and Hardened Editions, along with the premium edition Steelbook(TM) Case, custom Black Ops limited edition medal and an exclusive Black Ops Avatar outfit.
Gamers can also experience an all new co-op game in Call of Duty: Black Ops Multiplayer with Combat Training. Up to six players can rank up in this dedicated and exclusive multiplayer mode battling against enemy AI.
Call of Duty: Black Ops will release worldwide on November 9th. Pre-orders for the title are available now. Call of Duty: Black Ops for the Xbox 360(R) video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation(R) 3 computer entertainment system, Nintendo Wii(TM) and Windows(R) PC is rated "M" (Mature -- Blood, Drug Reference, Intense Violence and Language). Also scheduled for release is Call of Duty: Black Ops for the Nintendo DS(TM) family of hand-held systems, which is rated "T" (Teen) by the ESRB and in development by n-Space.

He has the beta, he played some of it on JTV but it was taken down. I was able to see the clip before it was taken down, he was playing Team Deathmatch and One in the Chamber.
