Asked what he would suggest to help Newton's demeanor, Green said Monday on The Coaches Show: "You've got to talk to him. First off say, 'Is that really the way you want to project yourself? Is that the kind of confidence you want the team to have in you?' I mean, that's pretty bad."

Maybe Newton's not who Green thought he was.

i dont have a problem with Cams demeanor. he sounds like a guy who is saying what everyone already knows. obviously he is sick of playing not to lose and is basically calling out the O-Cord.

as for the teams feeling on cam...fuck them, thats what they get for buying into the 1 year hype from college and then letting it go to their heads after year 1. he is a me me, immature guy who is not NFL QB intelligent. he has ability, but can not handle any type of adversity. They dont seem to have much faith in him being able to win games since they always seem to be playing not to lose.

I sure hope this isn't him improving as a leader. Handle this stuff in-house, but I guess you learn from those around you, and since Steve Smith called out Newton, I can understand why it happened.

I always thought Ron Rivera would be a good head coach, but he needs to pull this group together fast, because I can definitely see them cutting him loose at the end of the year if things don't drastically improve.

I put this up to show what a country, immature dumb ass the boy is. He's 23 years old, in his second year...he showered, had time to think and still came off like a country bumpkin, butt hurt baby.

RGIII is an exception to the rule with a lot of NFL players though. Washington Post ran a huge article about him. He was raised by two parents who served in the military, kept him even-keeled growing up, had him going to church regularly and he even agreed with his parents to live modestly during his time here.

He graduated high school in three and a half years, had his four year degree after three years at Baylor, and is working on his masters currently. He's as ridiculously talented athletically as he is smart, and that is what made him a great draft choice for the Redskins. They weren't taking a risk on a guy who doesn't have his head on straight, or a guy who lacks intelligence, or who can't handle the media. They also weren't dealing with a guy who had questionable talents. He's proved himself by putting the Redskins in a position to win essentially every game so far this season, but other factors have caused those losses. The only way RGIII is a bust is if the Redskins don't do their all to put a good cast of people around him, and that isn't going to happen with this team and owner.

Cam Newton is also a special talent, but he has a long way to go in other areas. He's also got some growing up to do, and I worry that it won't happen if Steve Smith can't get through to him.

Contrary to popular belief, he was never actually dismissed. Not for the laptop, and not for the three counts of academic fraud either. He transferred because he didn't want to sit behind Tebow (which makes no sense because the year spent at Blinn was Tebow's final year anyway, but whatever).

The lesson, as always, it's nearly impossible to get kick off of any team Urban Meyer is in charge of.

Cam Newton could quickly regress to Vince Young'ian levels. The kid needs to understand how the game is played, on and off the field. A guy that was criticized through the entire draft process for being a guy that lacks accountability or a filter and here he is, 22 games into his career, starting to suck and blaming it on everyone else but himself. That ain't how its played, young brotha...get it together.
