Rams claimed Titus Young off waivers from the Lions.

Coach Jeff Fisher and GM Les Snead strike again, and they have shown over their year-plus with the Rams that they're not afraid to take risks on bad character players. Many thought Young would pass through waivers unclaimed, but there was always the chance a team could swoop in and see if they can whip him into shape. There is little risk involved, as Young comes cheaply with two years left on his rookie contract. He'll step into a young Rams receiver corps, and he has a decent shot to enter 2013 as a starter on the outside.

He's dumber than dumb, but I don't blame Jeff Fisher for taking a chance. It's not like Titus Young is a $60M guaranteed deal.
 
well if he was bitching about getting the ball in Detroit with Stafford throwing the ball what the hell does he think is going to happen in St Louis with Bradford.
 
This is Exhibit A for why I was skeptical of the Jeff Fisher hire. He has no qualms about filling his locker room with players like Young. And in this case, it's not like Young is worth the risk anyway, because unlike people like Albert Haynesworth or Cortland Finnegan, he isn't very good and not likely to be an impact player.

The Rams have declined comment on rumors Titus Young will be released on Friday.

Detroit-based writer Rob Parker reported Friday morning Young will be waived on Friday, though both the Rams and Young's agent have declined comment. The fact that neither side opted to shoot down the report strongly suggests Young's time in St. Louis will last all of 10 days. If that's indeed the case, it's an extremely bad sign for the troubled receiver's NFL future.

The topic is expected to be addressed at a Jeff Fisher news conference Friday to introduce new defensive coordinator Tim Walton. Young's history of genuinely idiotic and self-destructive behavior makes his nine-day "stint" in St. Louis a non-surprise. Young is just 23 years old and brimming with talent, but it's beginning to look less and less likely that he'll be playing NFL snaps anytime soon without some sort of a significant wakeup call.
