No, you probably can't run ME1 either, I have a slightly better card and it can only handle games like Oblivion and Fable at the lowest settings.
 
Allright I might as well intervene before we get more stupid posts like the couple above.

He has 4 gigs of with a gig of it probably going to video memory. He's fine in that department.

No your laptop probably can't play this as your videocard is running short on the compatibility list. It could play it but the settings would be so low it would probably annoy you. You bought a cheap laptop so you kinda are stuck with what you get.

If you were to buy it you'd have to decide if you wanted to play keyboard and mouse or controller. I've done both with the first ME and its really all about personal preference for yourself. I prefer the keyboard/mouse because I can't use controllers to aim.

Long story short your in the same boat Hova was in. He ended up just going out and buying an xbox since upgrading his computer would of been around the same price. Seeing as how you have a laptop your options are really low here since you can't upgrade the video card your essentially stuck.
 
Hey leaf, I'm about to trash my current craptop this summer (multiple problems including loss of nearly all case screws as well as random shutdowns). They ole gal has served me well through some heavy illegal downloading, porn, and spilled drinks/weed.

What do you think I could get in this market for arund 700 USD?

Do you want to get another laptop and will you use it for gaming?

This summer is going to be a nice time for new laptops. Intel has its new core i5 series out for laptops (finally) and they run fairly well.

I was looking at a mid range gaming laptop last week from toshiba and it was only 899. Pretty good.

Acer has a new series out called timeline which I've seen one in person and they are pretty good. You won't game on them or anything but for an all purpose laptop they are fairly sweet.

I'm torn on what I want to get still so I'm in the same boat as you.

Just want to get something that can run Starcraft II, even though that game has a bit ridiculous requirements.

I want to get a custom one, but they're fucking expensive, I'll probably end up with something from Newegg or Dell/HP/Toshiba if they have good sales.

Hopefully I'll be able to snag something along the 15 in., 3-4 GB RAM, >320 GB HD, decen Graphics card (around a GeForce 240M or higher) card.
 
The new Geforce series cards (300 series) are out now and most of them have dedicated memory on them which makes their value go up a bit.

I'm kinda torn though. Gaming laptops are a pain in the ass. They just seem to break no matter what you get (dell, hp, toshiba ect ect) mainly because your putting so much stress on them.

Wait till the summer and see whats out. I'm sure around the whole back to school time there are going to be some sick deals.

They are also $2000 and really really bulky.

I've only ever seen one and the fan over the video card died after 18 months :(
