I don't remember the specifics of Kolb's deal and how much is actually guaranteed, but I find it hard to believe that Peyton ends up in a Cardinals Uniform.

If this was last off-season, I would consider us one of the favorites, but Manning will cost too much and we're already paying Hasselbeck a solid amount of money.

Not to mention, we have future Hall of Famer :locker: ready to start next season.

Most of Kolb's money comes from signing bonuses, his salary would not be a big cap hit if he was cut.

Cardinals have a Top 10 defense, a good running game with enough weapons passing. I think it could work if he is healthy and has enough faith in the offensive line. It would be very hard fit in terms of cap space since the Cardinals still need to negotiate with Calais Campbell, Levi Brown, and Richard Marshall and would have to make cuts to fit them AND Peyton's huge salary - all while having enough to make depth signings to have a league approved roster.

I just don't think it's going work out financially unless Manning takes less than what he's worth.

The Cardinals picking up Manning would definitely be a intriguing. He'd have Larry Fitzgerald and Early Doucet and a solid run game with Beanie Wells. In a relatively easy division aside from the 49ers.

I would love for it to happen somehow, but I really don't see it happening so I'm not going to get my hopes up.

If true...this is why the Cards are horrible for most of their existence. They sign a guy to a huge deal and cut him after 1 year? They sign a guy who is in his late 30's and has had several neck surgeries? One good hit and Manning could be even slower......paralyzed. I don't think Kolb is the answer but an older guy with serious injuries isn't going to help in the long term. They should get better evaluators and try to build through the draft, instead of letting others draft for them and trading.
