In reality, i have to echo Fedex here. As much as Kenny Williams/The Sox want to make a deal, theres nothing to make a deal with. I think they're going to have to try and make it on what they have.

I see them being more sellers than anything actually. If they can get value for Jenks or Dye they should absolutely do it and I believe Kenny absolutely will. He's a guy you can always rely on to make a big splash and a surprising trade when the value is there.

the Whitesox don't strike me as a team that has THAT much to offer on a playoff bound scale. Who do they have for starting pitching? Not one starter comes to mind that is "dominant". The line up is a mix of old and really young. I do think it's time to go into a semi rebuilding mode.

Yeah they are in a weird spot, and that's the way Kenny Williams kinda likes it. He wants to stay semi-competitive (our attendance kinda depends on it) while still integrating young players. That's absolutely what you're seeing this year.

Pitching is never a problem Buehrle is having another quiet, but awesome year. Danks is always solid, Floyd has put together another good year, Clayton Richard has been reliable and Jose Contreras has had two out of this world starts. That's the way our pitching always is, I love it. No one ace, but no one TERRIBLE spot.

As far as their offense, it's a mix as I said. You have old and young, which is exactly how Kenny wants to do it. Dye and Thome come off the books next year which opens up a lot of spaces and let's a few of our younger guys get some time out there. Beckham is progressing nicely and will likely be the starting 2B or 3B next year.

Honestly, by next year you'll see a very different team.

Not a chance. Kenny and the entire organization really love Danks. The problem though, he did not accept a contract extension they gave him, so he's only under control for another 2 years.
