I like the trade because it was basically Darko for Randolph. We lose nothing and gain a post scorer and a good rebounder. We may also gain a nutcase, but we'll see in due time. And like I said, the guy isn't a constant crackhead on the court. He has his problems, evident by all the video clips, but these are highlights. It's like watching a Trevor Ariza highlight where he dunks all over someone (happens a couple of times a year) and thinking that happens every game and the other team has a constant fear of Trevor Ariza gliding out of no where and dunking all over them.

Stats tell lies, I'm a firm believer in that, but saying Z-Bo sucks ass and is a terrible player on the court is a retarded statement. He does stupid shit, like dribbling up the court while doing stupid crossovers and chucking an air ball three, but those stupid things happen maybe once every 5-10 games. Is that a good thing? Hell no. But does that make him a terrible player? No.

He's a 6'9" big who will scrap on the offensive glass, he can do work in the post on offense, he's got a nice mid-range game and a decent three pointer, and he can give you a solid 35 minutes of basketball every night. I don't exactly see how that translates to Zach Randolph sucks ass.

Lol I know what you mean. I've dealt with this guy since 2007 as a Knicks fan and I've dealt with him tossing Gatorade in Nate Robinson's face, him shouting in Isaiah Thomas' face (even though everyone did), and the general stupid shit he always does.

I think he helps us a lot though (for the reasons stated in my last post). We also don't run a very organized offense. It's basically a free-for-all and Zach will probably like that.

Only thing he did back then was take more shots. He's only shot better than 40% from the field 3 times in his 9 year career.

We have shots to spare, I can promise you that. We tried getting offensive contribution from Quinton Ross, Greg Buckner, Marko Jaric, Darrell Arthur, Darius Miles, etc.

Mayo and Gay take about 16 shots a game. They'll probably keep Rudy about the same and bump Mayo up to about 18-20. After them, there's no one else on our team who needs a lot of shots. Conley needs about 5 or 6, but I wouldn't feel comfortable giving him a lot more than that. Marc Gasol is going to lose shots just because he's going to get bench minutes now. Hakim should stay the same as the sixth man, and Arthur will lose all of his minutes and shots which is a good thing imo.

There's enough shots to go around for Randolph who averages about 17 to 18 for his career. Fuck it, we can give him 20 and we'd still be looking for offensive contribution from other players.

Of course he requires the ball a lot, what 20+ point big doesn't?

Offensively, Memphis is going to be very solid.

Defensively...all they have is Charmin' soft Hasheem Thabeet on the interior. Gay is a great defender, but on the interior...wow. They'll get beat up.

Like LC said. Born and raised in New York, been a Knicks fan since I was about 6 (grew up on Ewing, Houston, and Spree). Been living in Memphis for the past couple of years and been going to just about every Grizzlies game.

My obsession with the Kings is based off of Jason Williams and Mike Bibby mostly. Kings is kinda like a slight-bandwagon team for me (kinda like Mike's hard-on for Portland and New Jersey). However, even though they suck I've always stuck with them.
