CPU Comeback BS

Is this a new problem people are experiencing? I'm not gonna call Russell a liar frankly because I haven't had the game in about a month and when I had it the game seemed perfectly fine as far as comebacks go. If anything, I found my pitchers to be too dominant on the mound (maybe that's just me but idk).

What are the older guys on here that have been playing chises since launch saying? Guys like Mike, T.Dot, etc.

I know you've been playing since launch Houtz, but you were also an online guy and online and offline is way different.

One of the reasons I had no problem trading my PS3 for a 360.

But to someone that said it may be sliders, I'm using default All-Star (or is it HoF...lmao, I don't even remember, it's one of them on default) and things like that happen to me. Although not 6 runs, I was up 4-0 on the Cubs (granted, they aren't the Nats) in about the bottom of the 4th inning. I ended up losing the game 7-4, lol.

I completely understand things like this happen sometimes, but when it's every game it's a bit ridiculous. I would LOVE to have one blowout, an 8-2 game or something like that. Can't even remember the last time I did that.

I have had this problem, in fact I had a game with the Twins last week in which I was up fucking 9-0 in the bottom of the nineth and they scored 11 runs to come back and win. This has happened two or three games lately for me all with it turned off

I have no idea what Russell is talking about but it is definetely a bug, Roy Halladay was pitching for me and I am not a bad player at all and there is no fucking way that happens in real life.

lol. If you get a pretty big lead seriously save the game and play it out a few times. See if what he's saying is true.

Will do man, I just started game 2 of my 3 game series against the Rockies, if I get a big lead I will. Playing with Comeback AI "OFF" by the way.

It exists man. It doesn't happen every game for me, but it does happen. Some games it seems that when I don't score they don't either, and than once I score at the top or bottom of the inning, they will literally put up the same number of runs or more. At first I was just like dammm i need to get better, but after seeing this at least 10/40 games I've played in franchise, it needs fixing next year.

Theres a minimal chance they'd post an update this late into a game just because they're already in the dev stages of MLB 2010, and they don't want to waste time/money making an update just for our pleasure. It'd have to be something to increase sales if they wanted to do an update.. .I know just because I'm a mod for 2K, and 2K defines what I just said. SCEA probably does it to a point also.

Hopefully they announce they fixed in when next year comes around. This isn't a game killer for me, but it does get annoying sometimes, and I don't have the problem every game, so thats one good thing.

I'm just at about the trade deadline in my chise and have seen nothing I'd label as a comeback code. I played two games this weekend for example and won 3-2 and 9-0 as the Cubs over the Cardinals and Reds respectively.

IMO the "comeback code" has more to do with clutch ratings between the pitcher and hitter than anything else but After about the first month of the season I have had no problem locking guys down with relievers if I take my time and really spot my pitches.

Ok and the last game I played I was up 9-0 and won 9-0 and the game before that I was up 3-0 in the 4th and won 3-2.

Do you guys get ahead and get complacent or something?

Do you guys throw meatballs across the plate? Don't get me wrong, I've had my fair share of leads slip away but have also rallied back from being down.

Do you guys use mound visits when you see your pitchers getting shaken up? Do you constantly have fresh arms ready to come in when the opposing team is threatening to score? Are you leaving pitchers in who are obviously hanging sliders/curves over the plate?

The game should make you pay for any mistakes you make. It's baseball. Games can be decided by one pitch/play.

Keep your pitches down goofballs!

Just so you know, T.Dot has his Human hitting sliders turned all the way up because he swings at every single pitch no matter how far off the plate it is, so I'd personally take anything he says with a grain of salt.
