Lacking in story and structure, clunky co-op maps.

I love the Agency overlord voice, but that's about it.

Yeah, hunting down those orbs is still a lot of fun. The familiarity of everything is a bit disappointing.

Collecting everything will keep you busy and the co-op game has a lot of room for creating your own fun.

If you played the original Crackdown and loved it and now you just want more -- or if you've never experienced the joy of hunting orbs – you'll find a lot to like in Crackdown 2. Collecting agility orbs, leaping from rooftop to rooftop, and playing around in the virtual sandbox of Pacific City is a lot of fun. The formula, unsurprisingly, still works.

But if you're like me, you were probably expecting a bit more. The new additions, specifically the expansion to four-player co-op, are welcome, but this hardly feels like it was worth the three-year wait. It's mostly just more of the same, in the same city, with the same shortcomings and a slightly expanded set of missions. Crackdown 2 feels uninspired and rushed, and it certainly doesn't feel like a full sequel.

agreed. assuming the ign review is accurate i am very disappointed by this game. Yeah i am sure it will be fun to hunt orbs, but it doesnt seem like the graphics will look any better than the demo. Plus the lack of any real development in the game says they are just trying to make money off the success on the first game. That really bugs me and its very madden like

I agree. And it doesn't make any sense because it's been THREE YEARS since Crackdown 1. It's not like it was a 9 month dev cycle like sports games.

We set ourselves some pretty aggressive, ambitious targets, and we've been very lucky. With some great guys and some hard work we've come up with something we're all very proud of."

Ruffian is very honest about what the short development cycle has meant, namely that there are some elements of Crackdown 2 that the team couldn't explore as much as they'd like to.

I just played the Demo and wasn't impressed, i think the aiming is horrible, ill be trying to aim at a guy right in front of me and it will actually aim at somewhere like a mile away. Maybe its just me playing a new game.

You're not the only one. I was addicted to the first game. I was alo crazy hyped for this one...until I played the demo.

And now that I know they only spent eight months developing it? Fuck that. It's got bargain bin written all over it.

It felt that way. It felt really broken and not smooth. That's one thing I still love about the first Crackdown is everything felt smooth, controls felt great. I didn't get that same vibe with the demo.

Shipwreck from CAG gave it a "Fair" rating with a recommended buy price of $35. He's a pretty big 360 guy too.
