Cromartie to become a Detroit Lion?

And next week there'll be talks of him being traded to Arizona.... Is Cromartie that good of a player that we must continue to make multiple threads about him? absolutely not. I'm beginning to think that many of you would draft like al davis.
 
I like in your sig you have a clip of a Denver RB beasting a KC player, but there down 10 to them.

To Lions fans, Cromartie is a big deal. When you had Will James, Louis Delmas, and a steady rotation of guys at the other corner and safety spot, a guy like Cromartie is a huge upgrade.

I'd give up a 5th round pick for him, nothing lower, or well higher in value, than that though. This draft seems to deep to give up picks.

ALLEN PARK -- According to a league source with knowledge of the situation, it's "highly unlikely'' the Detroit Lions will trade for San Diego Chargers cornerback Antonio Cromartie. The two teams did have talks concerning a deal but the Lions have opted to move in a different direction.

Cromartie, who has been at odds with the Chargers' coaching staff, is being shopped and, if a deal isn't struck with a team, he might get released. The Lions are very thin at cornerback, but Cromartie doesn't appear to play the physical brand of football that head coach Jim Schwartz is looking for. Both of Detroit's starting cornerbacks last season -- Phillip Buchanon and Anthony Henry -- were benched at different points in the season because of poor play in the running game.

It all comes down to the asking price, and I'm glad the Lions aren't jumping on this. He will most likely be released, unless a team can lowball for him and the Chargers jump at it.

Detroit News said it was most likely for Maurice Morris and a 4th/5th round pick. No way.

one probowl whoopdie doo. Obviously anything would be an upgrade for the Lions and getting him for a 5th and morris would be a great deal for them. I'm just saying don't expect him to come in and have 10 picks.

Thats the thing about Cromartie. He can have 8 picks but his problem is that he gives up to many big plays either its a running play or pass play. He isnt reliable.

Hes better than anything Detroit has, and better than anything TN has not named Finnegan.


These teams arent expecting him to be the savior but hes going to be better than what they currently have.



If Detroit could get him for Morris and a 5th rounder, TN should be able to trade a 7th rounder and Lendale White who has actually sniffed a 1000 yard season.

Yeah he can have 8 picks, or he can have 2 or 3 int's, which he has done more often then 8. Antonio Cromartie is a ball hawk that doesn't get picks, he gives up big plays and is a sorry excuse for a tackler. He's got solid man coverage skills(when he's not trying to jump routes) and supreme speed and athleticism, but at this point he's still a ball hawk who doesnt get picks...how horrible is that?
