So.. as most are aware Mir was the only person to achieve a KO on the card this past Saturday. So.. you'd think he'd automatically get the KOTN award, no? WRONG. Dana said he wasnt worthy and refused to give out the bonus, LOL.

It doesnt matter how bad the fight was, he was the only KO and he should've won the award by default. When someone is the only SUB they dont rate how good of a submission it was.. they give dude the bonus. The fight was a stinker, but Mir still knocked Mirko the fuck out, therefore he should win the KOTN bonus, because there was no other competition. If im Frank Mir im fucking cheesed about this.. 75k is a lot of money. Dana is a fucking child.

If it was part of anyone's contract or if the bonuses were mandatory, I'd say sure, give the guy his money.

But it's more of an incentive and management can always decide to not reward the employee if they're unhappy with them.

They thought the fight was horrid and despite the finish, wanted to show Mir that was the case.

Sucks for the fighter though.

i dont see the point in rewarding someone who didnt do their job and put on the most pathetic display in recent memory. i dont think i've heard mir bitching about it. he knows what happened was pitiful and doesnt deserve an extra cent for that abomination.

If a promoter withheld a fighter's salary, that's fucked up.

How did he not do his job? He knocked dude out and won the fight. The bonus is always given for the person who has the Best Knock Out that night, that was Frank Mir. Dana is playing emotional, thats bad for business. He should've given out the bonus as it was supposed to be given out.

Dana White does not need to bribe people, that is what he is doing with no KOTN bonus or threatening to cut people after a win

So now Dana has shown fighters will be cut after 1 or 2 losses even if they're 'exciting', now he has threatened to cut And1 and Mir after wins, said fights for a title shot before and changed it after and so on, so what are these fighters supposed to think?
