After a little more than an hour of playing I'm just really not feeling at all, there are pretty much zero unique gameplay mechanics that distinguish it from any other action game. The plot is somewhat interesting, but I really have no desire to keep playing.

I love the game. I started playing it tonight and I'm a ways in, I just killed the bat bitch. It's ridiculous how much it copies from GoW and Zelda but that's not a bad thing, it's done very well. The controls, especially when you get the boomerang type thing (forget what it's called now), are a little confusing and take some getting used to, but it's not a big deal. I am really enjoying it.

If I know your gaming likes and dislikes and I think I do from reading your posts here and at MM the past few years, you'll like it. It's not an all time classic but it's still really good.

Just know that it starts off pretty slow. Once you get to the Twilight Cathedral (which is the first "dungeon"), it picks up really quick.

If I have one complaint it's that at points, it feels too much like Zelda, although I'm not really sure that is a bad thing. It really clings to the "enter dungeon, find special weapon in dungeon, use found special weapon to solve puzzles and kill boss of the dungeon" style that Zelda games use.

I heard that on a podcast. I definitely like Zelda so that sounds good to me.

I just fired this puppy up and I'm very impressed so far. The graphics are great, the audio sounds awesome and the set pieces are wow!

I have to hit the treadmill and then get some sleep before work tonight. Hopefully I'll be able to play it a lot tomorrow.

I'm about five hours in and I'm loving this game. It is the perfect combination of GoW and Zelda in my opinion.

Beat it and I must say it is a pretty good game. Story line was lacking in the beginning, but once pieces started coming together it got better for me.

 

Also toward the end when you use the Portal gun... OMG sometimes I wanted to shoot myself by how confusing it was becoming. First game I ever had to draw up/write down procedures to figure out how to get a beam of light from Point A ---> Point B

Interesting for a game that the developers said "couldn't be demoed".

And for the people that actually "bought" the game you should check your box. In select first run copies there was a slip of paper that had some code on it. Apparently they finally revealed what it's for. You get some digital download of a comic I believe and you also get Red Faction: Guerilla for FIVE DOLLARS!

Of course my copy had no such slip of paper.:fighter:

Yea this game starts out slow but once you start playing it. It's a good game it's a long game too if your playing on the hardest difficulty setting.
