Guidelines:

I ONLY PLAY TRACKER GAMES
If you're not signed up to VSN's Tracker, don't ask for a game. I want my games to mean something, even when I'm 3-6.

5-15 min quarters (accelerated clock for 9 min quarters or longer)
All-Madden or All-Pro (your choice)
SIM PLAY

Despite the pic, I don't always use the Eagles. I like to match up.

I do all the stat tracking. If we play, I take all the key player and team stats. You have no work to do.

SCOUTING REPORT ON DAVE:
Michael Vick policy: I will use him the same way the Eagles do in the real NFL. If he's used occasionally in wildcat, that's all he gets with the Birds. If he rises to be the #2 QB, that's where he is on the Birds. If McNabb is injured, whichever QB replaces him is THE quarterback. So if it's Kolb in real life, it's Kolb for me. #5 is THE quarterback in these parts.

Offence: I will use shotgun a lot with the Eagles, including 1st downs, I will play Andy Reid's 65-35 pass/run offence. I will use all of my receivers during a game. If I don't finish a game with 7 or 8 receivers catching a pass, I feel like I've let you down as a friend and opponent. If I use another team, I will use their offensive philosophy.

Defence: If I use the Eagles, I respect Jim Johnson and blitz like a mofo. I mix man/zone religiously. You will never have to worry about facing a one-trick pony on D. If I use a team other than the Eagles, I am likely to blitz more often than not, but I will do my best to respect that team's defensive gameplan.

Wildcat formation: You will see it once or twice a game. That's it. Some games you may not see it at all. Desean Jackson is my wildcat quarterback, barring injury or Vick taking over.

Playbooks: I am debating a move away from the Eagles' playbook on offence. I will never, however, stray on defence. I will always use the team's defensive playbook.

Weather and time: I like night games. The weather I use is related to weather in that area.

Special teams: I am always respectful of my opponent. If I'm on 4th down outside the 38 yard line, I will punt 99% of the time.

4th and inches: From the 31-40 yd line, I'm going for it on almost all 4th down situations. Akers simply can't make a FG past 48-yards for me. Of course, this depends on the game situation.

TEAMS I USE:
Eagles about 80% of the time, Bills 10% and various other teams the rest of the time. If you want to play your regular season opponent from any given week, just let me know. Chances are I'll do it. I love using different teams and playbooks. If you're going to force me to use a gay team like Dallas or Tampa Bay, the least you can do is fulfill my wish for a 6-minute quarter game.

If you're new here with no standing in the online community (VSN/MM/MN) I am simply not interested. I need to know I will not sit through an hour-long game only to be greatly disappointed. My Madden time is precious to me. Until my trusted Madden buddies vouch for you, sorry...

Feel free to hit back if I call you out, feel free to issue a scouting report on my game, but if you show me any personal disrespect in this thread I will never play you again. I put a lot of work into this thread to make it enjoyable for all, the last thing I need is unnecessary crap in it.

Just one of those games where everything went right for me on offence ... other than the damn run game which is pretty hard this year.
McNabb hit eight different Eagles receivers, including a 58-yard streak to Brian Westbrook.
Neither team could get a rush game going. It was awful.

Game report: Bizarre game. Tim's offence was really good in this one, but a few sacks, a key INT and him being out of timeouts on the last play killed him.
Eagles got a huge game from Jeremy Maclin, which was a good thing, because Tim's D shut out every other receiver. Eagles didn't have one of those games where a ton of receivers had catches.

Scouting report on Tim: A) Very balanced on offence - will start out with heavy doses of Jacobs, but mixes it up from there.
B) Uses all of his receivers. You simply can't focus on one.
C) Against me, he tended to play a somewhat conservative defence, preferring to rush only four guys. At times, it left me with too much time to throw the ball.
D) Good in the defensive backfield.

Game recap:
Eagles' quarterback Donovan McNabb had a game for the ages, throwing not one, not two, but six interceptions. To be fair, on two of those INTs, the beer-fueled coach yelled the wrong button into his headset ... but, no matter, the other four counted and the Birds got their asses kicked.
Coach Dave is not deterred and will continue to run his high-octane passing offence.
"Shit happens," said coach Dave after the game. "Coach StuDawg called a solid game, Keith Brooking was outstanding in pass coverage (how many pass deflections did that Cowgirl have?) and the Cowboys didn't make any mistakes."

Scouting reporting on StuDawg:
A) Very vanilla playcaller on offence, keeps his passes short and pounds the rock religiously.
B) Doesn't use Jason Witten enough. Great tight ends can create incredible mismatches in this game, but Coach StuDawg didn't take advantage of that IMO.
C) His pass defence is first rate and I was stunned by how good his linebackers were in pass coverage, especially Brooking.
D) His kicker sucks. Folk missed two FGs he should have made.

Lions win "Fight for the Fumble!"

Game recap:
The Lions scored 14 points in the 4th quarter to win the game 21-14.
Eagles' coach Dave officially despises "fight for the fumble" which cost him the game. McNabb fumbled on a key drive when the score was 14-14. In coach Dave's opinion, fight for the fumble is almost, but not quite, as bad as the QB cone. Let's reward the great playcallers, not the fags who have faster joystick hands.
That said, two thumbs up for coach Krulmichael. A great player with an awful team.

IMO, games should never, ever come down to fight for the fumble.

Scouting report on Krulmichael:
A) His entire offence, understandably, is set up around Calvin Johnson. You absolutely must give Johnson double coverage all game. You don't do that, you die. Everytime he runs the ball, it's simply a disguise to set up his next Johnson pass. On a key play, I fumbled on the joystick trying to playmaker my safety to double cover Johnson. I couldn't get it on time and he got the first down. ALWAYS MAKE SURE TO SET UP YOUR DEFENSIVE MATCHUP BEFORE THE GAME TO GET YOUR #1 CORNER ON JOHNSON. Krul moves around Johnson. Remember to make sure you set your defensive matchup. If you're in zone, make sure to playmaker your corner and safety to man cover Johnson.
B) Defensively he has nice stick skills and mixes up his plays. He tends to overuse cover 2 which makes him weak on the deep passes. Try to make sure to check for that.
C) I like his playcalling, very diverse. When he saw the over emphasis I was giving to C. Johnson, he was hitting Northcutt (too effectively IMO) and throwing screens to Johnson. As young kids go, Krul is more a Wendy's worker than a McDonald's worker.

Cardinals cruise to easy win

Game recap:
From the opening drive to the end of the game, it was all Cards in this one.
Steve Breaston was a beast, starting the game with a 71-yard TD after at least four broken tackles. The hapless Bills' D was no match for wily veteran Kurt Warner or Cards' head coach TomatoKetchup.
Bills tried to play conservative at the start of the game, but that plan was pretty much thrown out the window early because their D couldn't stop Warner and the Cards.
Bills' offence was a nightmare in the red zone, going 1-for-4 with only a field goal. Trent Edwards was injured for two plays on the 8-yard line and Ryan Fitzpatrick decided he liked the colour red on his only pass of the game.
"I want to go back to Philadelphia," said Bills' coach Dave. "The Bills just aren't my kind of team. The offensive line is terrible, the defensive backfield (save for Terrance McGee) is a nightmare, the tight end runs about as fast as I do. Enough already."

Scouting report on TomatoKetchup:
A) Takes way too long to call plays and then extends the pain by audibling and motion players for another 20 seconds. This game was more painful than a tooth extraction - not because Tomato did anything wrong on the field, just the painful length of time it takes him to do anything. Hell, he ran out of time calling defensive plays every second play. I guess what I'm saying is "Hurry the fuck up".

B) Balanced playcaller on offence. While Breaston had most of the work, Tomato spread the ball around. It was simply a case of Buffalo's #3 corner being badly overmatched and the lack of a good pass rush.

C) Solid defensively. In the second half, he stopped blitzing because he knew I pretty much had to throw for the rest of the game.

D) The little engine that couldn't with his run game. If he's a Cards' user, he should pretty much stick to a 70-30 pass/run ratio.
