Bengals then play Chiefs at home, don't sleep on this game - 10-5 or 9-6
Bengals then play @ NY, another don't sleep on game - 11-5 or 9-7

The Bengals will either finish 11-5 and clinch the AFC North or 9-7 and miss the playoffs totally and lose the AFC North to Baltimore (who has a ridiculously easy remaining schedule).


So why would the Bengals bench there players?

I'm trying not to be a homer here, but it's hard to defend it when I'm choosing the guy from my team. Let me put it this way...

If I want to shut down one receiver all game, I'll take Revis. If I want to have a play maker, good cover corner, and great containment run stopper, I want Woodson on my team.

Revis is the better coverage corner, but Woodson has the all around better game.

Charles Woodson - 61 TAK, 2.0 SACK, 22 PDef, 8 INT, 2 TD, 4 FF, 1 FR
Darrelle Revis - 46 TAK, 33 PDef, 6 INT, 1 TD

Only thing Revis has on Woodson is PDef's, which is not looked upon as important as most other categories. I know stats don't tell the whole story, but in this case, it's the best we can do.

How's that PDEFs are too an important stat for CBs maybe not for other DEF players but CBs yes.

Revis not even on your list is a joke.

Woodson has not matched up with the receivers Revis has, you say stats don't matter but your throwing tackle stats and other useless stats that a CB doesn't usually need. Only thing Woodson has on Revis is experience and popularity. Either way there both having a good season Woodson just hasn't played the WRs Revis has and shut them down.
