The Magic have seven days to match the offer, and while they're expected to take all of that time to make the decision, it would be very surprising if they match it.

David Lee is looking for 10 mill a year. Gortat was what they were looking for bcus hes a legit 5. They just didnt need to pay THIS much money..

I love you sleeping on the potential of Andrea Bargnani. All of you haters will not be able to ignore his game after next year. I had the pleasure of watching this kid play in the 2nd half and hes going to be a very good player, hes already developing into that. The general NBA fan just has this stigma that hes a bust, and hes far from it.

Gortat will be starting for the Mavs next year b/c he's better than Damp. And getting Gortat + Marion makes the Mavs a much better defensive team. We should get to the 3rd round b/c our D got better and our core remains strong.

That's a strong and deep team. This team in my opinion is the second/ third best team in the West. Id put SA and Dal about even for now since SA has a lot of health concerns for this upcoming year yet Dallas only needs one injury to happen to them to be better.

Gortat was a key piece in making a run this year. They have 4 vets who can lead us deep to the finals if we play well.

I've also had the pleasure of watching Gortat play, since my family is Polish and were Polish oriented, we have Polish TV and we get to watch some of his games (not the full game, only when he's in) and he's developed into a hell of a player too. To say he's not going to be a good player is straight up BS, he's going to excel in a role where he can play D and let everyone else score.

Of all people, Nuggets fanss shouldn't be talking. Who would have ever though Chris Andersen of all fucking people would be a starter? Gortat is a solid player who didn't see minutes because of Dwight Howard. When Dwight got ejected or found himself in trouble, Gortat stepped up huge.

Andrea Bargnani > Al Hoford.. just thought id throw that out there. He definitely has All-Star potential especially when the league is lacking of good Centers. He doesnt have to get in over Howard, Howard is the starter. And I aint saying its going to happen next year or anything either, but in the future I can see it for sure. Bargs is going for 18-7-1.5 this year, mark the words.

I never said Gortat wasnt going to be good.. I just said it was a bad comparison to Bargs, who is without question > Gortat. Not sure if that was supposed to be directed at me or what.

gortat might become a solid Eole player.....but he's not the guy to get the Mavs over the hump and hes not worth 30 million + over 5 yrs

I watch a ton of basketball.
Bargnani has potential, no doubt, but he is not a $10M a year player.
Soft on rebounds and defensively, a non-factor inside the paint. He's a role player now and I don't think he has the killer instinct to be a top-2 player on his team, some $10M a year requires.
