Did Madden go to far with this?

Ok I understand they wanted to tone things down a bit and make it more realistic. The RB's cuts, no problem. The WR moves, no problem. Defense pass rush, sucks but I can deal.


The thing I hate is the QB play though, I swear I've seen some middle school QB's with better arms sometimes.
I can have a RB wide open in the flats, my QBs feet planted, no pressure and he'll throw it 5 yards over the RB's head and out of bounds.

The other day in practice mode I was trying out a new PB. So I ran a play where the outside WR ran a 10 yard in and I waited till the WR made his cut and everything to throw the ball. I swear with no pressure and the WR wide open the QB threw the ball 10 yards ahead of the WR. So I said cool minor mistake, except I tried it 10 times in a row and the QB still did not throw the ball right.

Then on go routes I'll overthrow Andre Johnson by 20 yards constantly. I can see one in a blue moon but how often do QB's in the NFL overthrow a WR by 20 yards or more when he's wide open?

This QB play is getting annoying, for the first time I think I'm actually gonna have to adjust the sliders for my franchise.

I don't always do that, that's what I'm saying. I'll have Owen Daniels wide open across the field on a post/slant and without leading the ball will be nowhere near him.

It's annoying when it's 4th down you need to convert, you call a perfectly good play call which leaves someone wide open only to have your QB make a terrible throw.

Ok problem solved.

In the play difficulty from the screen where you pick your team I set everything to as hard as possible but I left the passing on the same level as all-pro(ranked games). That way I can still face a decent Defense while passing the ball good.

go play a game and have some no name rookie named nate davis break the tackle of a charging DE and neverthrwo the duck pass depsite being crushed and when you have big ben roethlisberger who throws the duck if some one gets within 5 yards of him and gets sacked without even being touched. this game is bullshit and i almost feel the cpu decides who will win before the kickoff alot of teh times.

Yeah I have to say they went a tad bit overboard bymaking the bad QBs a little too bad, particularly with short throws. NFL QBs don't overthrow a wide open WR that is just 5 yards past the LOS

I turned that shit off a long time ago. I am convinced that it is IMPOSSIBLE to win Fight for the Fumble on All-Madden.

I find the QB play in this game better than in the previous 2 or 3 maddens.

The QB is definitely good if you have a capable passer, but if you have a poor QB then he is unrealistically terrible. Right now in my Bengals franchise, Carson Palmer is out injured and I am playing with his lil bro Jordan Palmer and he is a 58. He misses wide open targets far too often. And when I say wide open, I mean wide open as in I could make the throws.
