So, anyways I looked into the game to see what's it about (cause why talk about the game when you can cry about societal issues instead?? Fuck's sake it's a game)

Nice lol. Sacred Citadel looked alright, but it's flaw was "being too easy" which instantly turns me off.


Hopefully when this game drops, it's got a nice challenge to it, the video shows players getting owned so hopefully. I'll be sure to hit you up when it drops in July!
 
I'm still very intrigued by this game, having seen Twitch playthroughs with GamesRadar, Rev3Games (or DToid more specifically) and IGN.

Gave me a better spectrum of what to expect when everybody's new jumping in.

Luckily, there's an option to just jump in as a Warrior or a Dwarf if you only feel like smashing things to bits while if you favor finesse, you have the Wizard/Sorcerer and the Elf for that extra bit of challenge.

Just knowing that you gotta save your shots during longer stages is awesome to me (if for nothing else, seeing people spaz out when all they have is light kicks and dodging left once they shoot their wad killing lowly goblins).

The reviewer from Polygon lost their shit based on the art direction but loved how the game and the gameplay itself played out.

Basically, if you want a good game, this'd tickle your pickle.

But if you get scared off/pissed off about games because of more grown-up content, then you may want to shy away.

Other than the internet getting into a tizzy about the Sorcerer and the Amazon, there's some screens that may illicit violent reactions in people.

I find that hard to believe. I'd have to find the old posts because I can't rememeber the thread, PSN maybe, where KG emntioned it and said that JMS and I would like it ala Dungeon Hunter. Then a few posts later someone said "Hopefully it's not more than $20" or something of that nature.

I was more speaking for myself. I browse retail websites quite often and I've come across this game a lot on there in the couple of months. So I knew it was a retail game.

Ok. I'm not going to speak on his behalf but I'm pretty sure JMS thought it was downloadable. I'm not sure about KG. I'm honestly shocked this is a $50 retail game.

Yep.

There's an emphasis on loot and leveling yours up as you play.

Lots of replaying levels and apparently you can't unlock the harder difficulty levels until you play past a certain point.

People who dig grinding are gonna love it.
