After all, Manning's NFL free agency options are all any of the national sports pundits have been talking about for the past several days. Dwight Howard's trade saga had barely registered on the radar until a breaking news report broke up the conversation on the Tuesday Mike and Mike in the Morning broadcast.

Mike Greenberg read a report from ESPN NBA Insider Ric Bucher stating that Magic CEO Alex Martins is offering Dwight Howard the right to control the fate of Magic GM Otis Smith and Magic coach Stan Van Gundy at the end of the season should he opt to stay

"One source close to the Orlando Magic situation has told Ric Bucher that the Magic have promised Dwight Howard that they will add a quality player before Thursday’s deadline and that Howard can decide the fate of both GM Otis Smith and coach Stan Van Gundy at the end of the season if he signs an extension. All indications are that Magic team President Alex Martins, not Smith, is presiding over attempts to keep Howard in Orlando," Greenberg read at the end of his ESPN show, Mike and Mike in the Morning.

No one wants to trade for him because he won't sign a long term deal and the teams he may consider doing that do not have the tools Orlando wants to make a deal.

So he'll get to FA and sign with Dallas, Brooklyn or ???? and most likely, Orlando will be left taking some shitty draft picks and trade exceptions.

At this point, they should realize he's not staying put. Move him for the best available package and include a shit contract like Turkoglu and move forward.

I suspect he's going to tell them that he's going to leave anyways and they'll trade him to New Jersey for Lopez and some trash. New Jersey is really the only team that has nothing to lose in trading for him, because if they don't Deron Williams will leave for Dallas. So, they've already put all of their eggs in the Deron/Howard package.

Wojo says sources have been telling him Dwight is going to sign with the Nets in the off-season and the only one in Orlando who thinks otherwise is the top exec. The GM and Van Gundy want this over with ASAP.

Tonight after the Magic beat the Heat, Dwight told reporters:

-He wants to stay in Orlando the rest of the season and make a run for a title
-He won't comment about next season other than saying the Magic have to "roll the dice" on him

It's blatantly obvious he is leaving Orlando if they don't trade him. He wants to hit free agency and sign with the Nets, not wanting them to trade valuable assets away to get him.

So Orlando is in a position where they have less than 2 days to figure out who's willing to rent him for three months, pick the best offer and move him. Otherwise, they get absolutely nothing for him when he walks away this summer.

He's seriously worse than LeBron at this point.
