Maybe it's time Sather moved on. They win the division, get two games away from the Cup finals, and he panics and blows up the team for Nash, then spends all season basically trying to undo what he did. Rangers lost last year after two seven game series, while the Devils were rested. Should have just added a piece if he wanted 'more scoring' through FA, not through trading all the depth away. Someone needs to tell him to put down EA's NHL game, as you're third and fourth lines have to actually play.

I'm sure Tortz is probably going to be on the hook this season. He may get one more, but his leash is short in New York.

It's not Ovechkin's responsibility to be on those guys and the fact is the Rangers turned a 3 on 4 into a 2 on 1 because of two great turnovers, three great passes and four other numbnuts Caps players, but he saw the breakdown and made no effort to make up for his teammates' mistakes. If he had made an effort and got there too late to stop the goal then no one would have said anything because that's what 99 out of 100 other NHL players would have done too; but no matter what rationalization some muppet Washington Post homer has it doesn't make up for yet another incidence of Ovechkin gliding about as the puck is going past his goalie.
