LOL at your poor logic. Westbrook did it, so it's obvious Rivers will as well. Westbrook is an entirely different player with skills and abilities that Rivers could only dream of. Monty Williams is a good coach, but lets be real.

What are you talking about? Can you stick to what I actually said? I said Rivers is a scorer and not a pg, but will be able to play it in stints, but he's not going to be your primary pg. I don't understand how that equates to me writing Rivers off or questioning Williams as a coach.

I'm wondering why the Bulls wouldn't try and do something to get Gordon.............I guess they're content with riding Derrick Rose into the ground.

The Bulls are kinda in cap hell right now. There's no way they could compete with some of the offers he would get from other teams.

I do think Rivers has some instincts to play PG...he's an excellent ball handler, and really has good vision (unfortunately, Plumlee's had hands of stone plenty of times to ruin passes from the guards)...but he's more of a scoring type guard, who looks for his shot...then again he really hasn't been on a team where he can rely on others...

Don't think signing Gordon to the max helps the Hornets become competitive.

Gordon has never been thrilled about playing in New Orleans, and has come out on the offensive to try to push the Hornets' hand. I don't understand why RFA's don't just sign a 1-year deal if they don't want to be with a certain team. Instead of spending 4-5 years of being in a place you don't want to be, just do it for a year, and then have total freedom.

I always thought Gordon didn't really want to be in NO. NO should try a sign and trade or something. Gordon isn't worth that type of money, but I would try to avoid just let him walk.

Eric Gordon is in Las Vegas vying for one of the final spots on the U.S. national team that will play in this summer's Olympics. He wants to go to London. But he doesn't want to come back to New Orleans.

Gordon, a restricted free agent who has a four-year, $58 million offer sheet from the Phoenix Suns, believes they are more committed to his future than the New Orleans Hornets. The Hornets acquired Gordon from the Los Angeles Clippers last season in the deal that sent point guard Chris Paul to the Clippers.

Paul didn't want to be in New Orleans any longer, either, and Gordon suggested if the Hornets match the Suns' offer and retain him, they'd be looking at a similar situation. The four-year offer from the Suns, a source said, includes a player option on the fourth year.

"Phoenix just showed a lot more interest, overall, and definitely in how they negotiated," Gordon said. "I don't know what New Orleans' plans are for me. There are no negotiations right now."

GM Dell Demps declined to comment on Gordon's remarks, but a league source said the Hornets are fully committed to matching the Suns' offer sheet. The Hornets identified Gordon as their most talented player even after they drafted Kentucky power forward Anthony Davis with the No. 1 pick and plan to retain him as, if nothing else, an asset.

That the Hornets drafted Duke guard Austin Rivers with the 10th pick also makes Gordon question exactly what their plans are for him.

"They drafted another shooting guard, a combo guard like me, which tells me they have another plan," Gordon said.

The Suns' recent committments -- point guard Goran Dragic and small forward Michael Beasley -- are a better fit, Gordon suggested.

"Phoenix signed two other young guys that are very talented," he said. "They're already established and they're already going to get better."

Gordon seems like a guy that needs to be #1 on his team. No idea why he wouldn't want to play with Davis and Rivers. Guys like Henry and Aminu are still developing too. He could be on the ground floor of a nice young team, with new billionaire ownership that won't be afraid to spread some coin around. It will at least be much better than what he'll have with the Suns. He's been #1 on his team his whole life. Maybe he just can't handle someone else getting the attention.

IMO they shouldn't feel as if they have to resign Gordon, because it's not as if he's known as a franchise cornerstone guy. They drafted Anthony Davis who will be the face of the franchise and they drafted Austin Rivers who IMO will eventally be a solid 2 guard. I wouldn't overpay for Gordon, but given the fact that they gave up Chris Paul to get him they probably will just to save face.

This, otherwise they let Chris Paul walk for free. I can definitely see a sign and trade happening for some type of experienced SF considering they only have 1 on their roster I believe. Say.. Iggy or Rudy Gay?
