WOW! Looking at that list and realizing that I am old now. Been playin since 2000. That was funny.

CLW, 2002 was the last time they did a real intro like that right? I loved that intro to death, and in the years after it seems like intro just got more lame and then they stopped even trying.

I voted for 2005. To me though its a tie, 2004 was the pinnacle, but I feel like 2005 for me looked better, and I think i was the only sucker that enjoyed HFA. So its 1a, 1b, but its no doubt that 04 and 05 are the best two years Tiburon had when it came to these games.

Also, note that I sold my ps2, to get a 360, so I never ventured into 07 and beyond on the ps2, which I hear were great.

04 was clearly the best. I played 2005 more, but 2004 was clearly the step up, so I voted for it out of principle even though I definitely spent 1,000 more hours on 2005.

Makes me feel old too, I've bought every one since 2001 and I'm only 22

LMAO I feel OLD now (at 29) with you "young ones" who have only been playing since 2000 or later to present.

Up until 2009 (which I rented all year) I have purchased/played every single one of the above games (plus a few of EA's competitors most years).

From what I recall 02 was the last intro done like that with commentary and music to get you "pumped up" for the game.

I believe in 03, 04, 05, 06 and 07 they did multiple videos at various schools around the country doing some form of "EA Sports. If it's in the game, it's in the game"

In 08/09 they went back to a video but there was no commentary from Neslar to go with it.

I clearly believe 2004 was the best to date. Allot of people usually believe it comes down to 04, 05 or 06.

I'd note for some of you young guys, a BIG PLUS for the "old" games was you could choose to either end your season with a tournement or bowl games. I ALWAYS went tourny.

To be fair I did own 95 on the Genesis it's one of the reasons I'm an FSU fan to this date.

College Football 97 was the first installment I played, on Sega.

My favorite All-Time college game not listed was the College Football 2k series on DreamCast.

I can't believe a majority have been playing since 2000? I'm 22 and have owned a system of some sort since I was 3 (NES). So I've played my fair share of video games over the past 19 years. lol.

Yeah I feel ya. The maybe minute or two I drove through the ASU campus I saw more hot ass girls then I did my entire college career at my own place or visiting my friends places (Illinois, Northern Illinois, etc). It's like a breeding ground for hotness at that place.

2005 was Fitzgerald for people wondering.

2006 was Desmond Howard and the beginning of the game going downhill.

That's why I feel like I enjoyed 2005 more. The vote for me was between the two because 2004 took SUCH a huge step. I mean go from 03 to 04 and realize how gigantic of a step it was. 2005 I feel was a more refined game although the defense was fucking amazing. I remember giving up only like 30 total yards one game with Florida State.

Blitzing in 2005 was pretty unstoppable if you called it at the right time.

Last two post sum it up for me. I never understood the too hard argument though personally. I loved running, it wasnt too hard, just had to get good at it, it took some time.

To me, '05 and '07 are pretty similar. Good balance between O and D.and a lot of fun. '07 was probably the game I sunk the most hours into (last gen of course).

'04 really made the series what it is, but it had a lot of flaws. The CPU never ran the ball (we're talking 5 carries per game) and the secondary logic had some major flaws. For those of us who didn't take it online those were some serious flaws.

'06 is hurt by the impact players and the ridiculousness of any impact back breaking 8 tackles per play and impact LBs forcing 5 fumbles a game.
