Yes, better than Samuel. Not saying Samuel isnt good but at this point in his career he isnt better than Aqib. Aqib manages 6 picks in 11 games with no DLine. He has 15 toatal since his rookie season with one of the worst pass rush in the league. He can man up, press cover, zone cover and match up with #1's all game. Roddy White know what it is.

Of course not, he has only been in the league 3 years. Samuel has had a very good career while Aqib is just starting to open eyes in the NFL.

Three years into Samuel's career, he had racked up 124 tackles and 6 INTs. Talib has amassed 127 tackles and 15 INTs in his first three. Hell, Samuel's last three years he has only gotten 5 more picks than Talib, with far less tackles, during his prime. Talib is the truth is Tampa and has all the potential in the world. Let's see where things go, but there is no doubt that Talib is the Buccaneers biggest asset on defense. He shuts bitches down whatever way possible.

Webber Could Be Lost for Season


Wide receiver Raymond's promising rookie season may be cut short.

It appears Buccaneers’ rookie wide receiver Raymond Webber’s season could possibly be over. Earlier this afternoon Webber posted this tweet.

“I’m alright, wish I could play this year but I’m still a part of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, its light at the end of the tunnel.”

On Tuesday PewterReport.com reported Webber suffered a hamstring injury but at the time the severity was not known.

Webber went on to say he has three torn tendons on his hamstring. He also tweeted.

“Doctor said he's amazed I was able to walk and still function my leg from how the x-ray looks.”

Webber was signed as a rookie free agent at the start of training camp and while the Buccaneers seemed content at the wide receiver position, coaches and fans had raved at his early camp performance.

The former Arkansas-Pine Bluff receiver was injured Monday during a special team’s workout.

The 6-foot-three, 220-pounder led the entire nation in receiving last year catching 101 balls for 1,429 yards.

There was no word or confirmation from the Buccaneers organization.

Didint expect him to land on the 53 but he could have possibly went the Briscoe route. Practice squad then emerge as a solid WR.

TAMPA BAY 25, KANSAS CITY 0

A very pleasing pre-season opener for our Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Show-Me state as Josh Freeman returned home to Kansas City and the young Bucs proved they weren't near as green as most would suspect. Here are a few things worth noting from this first preseason game:

• For the most part Freeman had great protection and played very well, save one one blown third and short pass where both Briscoe and Williams were wide open on drags and he threw to a covered man in the middle of the field.
• Briscoe looked great and even though Mike Williams remained catchless, he still was running good routes and getting open. He just couldn't hold onto a touchdown pass right in front of where I was sitting against Sabby Piscitelli, and that would have been oh so epic.
• Kreg Lumpkin looked like he could fill Caddy's role as 3rd down back. He played very very well in his limited time. His runs didn't pop but he followed his blockers and ran hard. P.S. Blount caught a god damned pass!!! We were very effective running screens last night.
• Adrian Clayborn was really getting into the backfield. He was disruptive and had a part in almost every major play behind the line of scrimmage. In KCs defense, however, he was coming in on 3rd downs as a pass rusher well into the 2nd quarter against Cheif scrubs.
• I sat two rows behind either Aqib Talib's dad or older brother... Dude was a spitting image of the Cabby Bandit himself.
• Quincy Black called the plays and had the headset in, which took a lot of pressure off of Foster, and they both played phenomenal. Black was truely playing sideline to sideline, saving Geno Hayes' ass on several plays.
• As you can tell from the pic, there were a lot more Bucs supporters than I anticipated. Freeman is loved in KC and he has a following. Aside from one crazy scalper acting like he was going to hit us with his car, I had a great time.

Food for thought, but Briscoe might actually push Benn for the starting role. I wouldn't mind seeing receivers depth look like this next season:
