It's good to see their franchise guy "gets it." Me buying it will still come down to how it plays when I get the demo. Sadly all of this won't matter if I can't stomach sitting through the games again.

Even though this seems really great, it just feels like so many other years. They drop some big news (Online Franchise) and everyone starts to go wild and plan on what teams they are gonna use and how much fun they are going to have this year with Madden. Then after a month of playing the game everyone has given up and are let down once again. Now maybe this year they finally got it, we might actually have a playable football game, but I just can't get overly excited anymore.

People are going to be excited for the Franchise Mode additions, mainly because nothing has happened with the mode basically since the days of next-gen began.

P.S.: The one thing I didn't see mentioned that has me curious is imported classes. I know they said they fixed the attributes, but are they still so clear-cut in terms of ratings? Last year, the guy with the highest overall rating was the #1 pick, and it went down from there. But on the Madden generated classes, you had busts and gems scattered throughout. I hope there's some kind of logic in place for that.

Last year, the guy with the highest overall rating was the #1 pick, and it went down from there. But on the Madden generated classes, you had busts and gems scattered throughout. I hope there's some kind of logic in place for that.

You can always edit the ratings if there's anything that sticks out. That's the beauty/laziness of allowing that option. :stupidsmile:

There should be stuff that randomly happens during a season, like a player with a hothead personality going on a radio show and blasting the QB for having a bad game and have a team chemistry gauge that means something..

Yes, I'm still pissed off about EA and the NFL putting us into this 5 year dark age of football gaming and just throwing NFL Head Coach into Madden isn't going to mend every broken fence.

Maybe in a couple of years they will have fully editable rosters. You can change not only attributes but physical features & contracts. Someone could put certain NCAA players (from the NCAA game) and put them in Madden w/o putting whole classes. If someone was crazy enough and had the time, go through all the rookies and change entire classes.

There are more than 20 different roles that players can earn in Franchise mode, including “QB of the Future”, “Mentor” and “Fumble Prone”.

We’ve even added a handful of new roles like ‘Playoff Performer’, ‘Trench Warrior’ and ‘Iron Man’.

Most of the roles will have an in-game impact. Shutdown Corner, for instance, impacts the ratings of the player that has it AND the QB on the opposing team.

Fuck. Yes.

Looks like I'll be buying Madden this year.
