I think 30 bucks is maybe to much 20 would be perfect. Cause say we get 20 members all putting in 20 bucks that's 400 dollars, more than enough to compensate users.

Well, the only reason it would be more is because you don't want to start taking from other users' shares to compensate someone if they had nothing to do with it.

Exactly, the point is to be able to recoup your losses from the person who steals, not from other people who had nothing to do with it.

I really don't think stealing is a problem if we make strict requirements regarding participation. People tend to not want to screw up when they have so much invested in something, time and/or money.

Weird, I'd never heard of Goozex before this.

Definitely really similar, save for the difference that most of us have known of each other (IRL or e) for quite some time now.

I really don't think theft would be an issue if there was a requirement for both parties to agree to a time limit beforehand.

These would be posted in the thread for everyone to see and be aware of. If you don't finish in that time frame, you could potentially request an extension, but the renter would obviously have to agree to it.

I have college hoops 2k8 that i could put up because it just sits in my entertainment center, but everyone once in a while i get the itch for updated rosters college hoops so i havent sold or traded it.

Well, it wouldn't be a 1-for-1 trade situation with someone, but participating essentially would unlock the door to a wealth of games you've never played before (hopefully).

Does anyone know how you can make it so someone pays for the shipping? Would you just check "bill receiver" when you went to UPS or whatever to mail it off?

If a 3rd party registered business holds on to the "stash" then where's the issue?

Set the "entry fee" to the cost of a brand new game and be done with it.

You steal a game and 60 of your dollars goes to the owner of the game.


It's really quite simple and can be entirely protected and safe with a little organization.
