Gamespeed to remain at slow

I just want to know when they planned on telling us that the online default was supposed to be slow all along and this wasn't just a test .

I guess I understand it in a business sense , people hated the demo speed so they said the default was faster than this to get us into buying it . Then they change to slow to suit the casual gamer (which is the bigger base)

EA fucked us all becasue they knew if they released the game on slow speed that their sales would have been dramtically down. so after release they pretend that it is a test and then just leave it there. this is complete bullshit and i hope Ian and Rac and all those fucks at EA sports get hit by a fucking bus. all the polls leaned to normal speed, only offline gamers and pasta's bitchass wanted slow speed. i wish we could sue EA for false advertising or something or maybe we can hope that the nfl will realize that they are tarnishing the brand and taje that excluivse tag away.

Wow....just wow. There is so much ridiculousness in this posting, along with this thread, that it's absolutly insane. The one thing I will agree with, is that yes, this is fucking asinine. This is the best next gen sim, and most people are already used to the speed. For fuck's sake the same people that are cursing EA up and down about this decision thought they've been playin on NORMAL SPEED FOR THE LAST 24 FUCKING HOURS!!!!! Normal speed, fast speed, very fast speed, ludicrus speed, has no bearing on sales. It's coverboys and graphics. If there were no forums 90% of you would not even know the difference. And all those "fucks" at EA will wake up tomorrow, count the money you laid down on the game, log onto maddens forums and laugh at how insane this is.

It's a video game. I've probably logged as many keystrokes about Madden as anyone else and I can't even get that worked up over it.

They turned the speed setting on a video game down 5%. It isn't a coup d'etat, it's not Bernie Maddoff and it's not Nixon. Something happens that you don't like and you get your panties in a bunch.

stupid move by EA imo but lets look at it this way.

We have been playing on slow mode for few days now.

Yesterday and today nobody could tell me if the online speed was normal or slow so the difference, while there, isn't significant.

IMO the only reason this is a bad move is because they said the game was going to be in normal speed and now they change it without really taking the communities advice. Somehow it is possible to change the speed from normal to slow but it isn't possible to add in an option.

I can easily tell a difference. The difference = on slow Steve Slaton was unstoppable vs. me. On Normal I can shut down any halfback in the game if I play smart defensive football.

It's dumb. I'm really thinking about trading this game in for NHL now.

No, they turned it down 5% from what people are complaining about. They wanted it normal, it's 5% lower than that (and actually, it's less than 5% but I digress). I haven't seen many people ask for it to be back to '09 levels (though, I'm sure they exist), so the arguement is between Normal and Slow. It's 5% slower than normal.

Since 09 was the bar that the speed changes were based off of, its 10%(actually 9%) from what we are use to. Normal was fine. its slower than 09 but still gave you a nice feel for the game. decreasing it 5% more(which i think is your point) makes the game feel overall like crap.
