Gamestop Online Order - MLB 2K11

I have never dealt with online ordering for a game. I usually just go to the store and pick it up. However, this year I decided to order 2K11 online from gamestop.com.

I placed my order back on February 28 and paid for overnight shipping. However, I still have yet to receive a charge to my card and a confirmation saying the game has shipped. I called Gamestop customer service and the rep said that if the game is a "street date" guarantee title that I would receive the game tomorrow. However, I have heard horror stories about Gamestop online orders.

Just curious if anyone else uses Gamestop on a regular basis and the experience you have had with them? I would be pretty disappointed if I paid to get the game tomorrow and had to wait till Wednesday or Thursday when I could have just walked into any Best Buy and picked it up.
 
i never order day 1 must own games online. u would have no trouble walking into a store and getting it. not sure why u ordered it online, but hopefully u dont have issues getting it tomorrow.
 
I have never pre ordered or ordered a game online in my life. I just walk up to the counter on release day, and buy it. I've never been turned away.

I can't give you anything on pre-order, but I have never had any problems with shipping from gamestop. I've only ever done an overnight once and it was here as promised the next day. Check your purchases online after you login, click on order history (your order number will come up with a description of purchase along with order date, status, and total price) click on the order number to track item after it has been shipped. If you overnighted it.... UPS will have exact times and locations of package.

Cancel the order.

If you must pre-order online, do it through Amazon. Release-day shipping gets the game there by 5 PM on release day.

I've never done it either, but, I didn't feel like having to go pick it up on release day lol.

Haven't checked my statement yet, but, the Gamestop.com rep told me that often times the game ships and the notification arrives hours later. He told me that his records indicate that the game is packaged and set to ship tonight. Hopefully he wasn't bullshitting me, but, if I get it on Wednesday, that's ok too. There are bigger tragedies in life than not getting my video game on release day.

Also, going with MLB 2K11 as a PS3 player due to time constraints. I love The Show, but, each year I get less time to play and each year, I find the game is harder to pick-up and play between gaming sessions. For example, last year, there was a pretty steep learning curve with hitting and as soon as I got my timing down I would be fine. Then, I wouldn't play for a week and I would struggle again. I would prefer to be able to pick-up and play with a bit of challenge without striking out a dozen times.
 
You will get it. I have ordered in the past from GS and got the game on release day. Just have to wait for whenever UPS gets there
