34?? There's not even 32 starter-level QBs in the league now, how will adding teams make the games any better?
Bad idea...
The QBs aren't the problem. The talent level there is going up and the league is bending over backwards to make it an easier position to be successful at. Hell, you could argue Cam is doing better in the NFL than he was in college. Ugh. Now the safeties, there would be your problem. I don't even like the caliber of safety that I see Gronkowski plodding by for another TD now.....
2 more teams is a ridiculously stupid idea. And yes, it is a money-grab Nahste. Everything Goodell has done has been a money-grab, and it's bullshit. This guy is making the product SOOO bad, and that's the one thing that has gotten everybody all this damn money in the first place! It's not the business decisions, model, branding, or any of that other business bullshit. It's the product, plain and simple. That's responsible for 99.99% of your consumers. Americans want to see the highest level of football, period. Markets like St. Louis and Jacksonville don't give two shits about their team. And the product on the field has been garbage lately. So logically, you'd take those two and move them instead of trying to squeeze every penny you can out of them. It's better to have an actual roster and coaches and FO anyway than to have another 2 expansion drafts, further watering down of the coaching pool when guys like Brian Schottenheimer are still getting jobs, etc.
At least come out and say that, Roger you gutless little puke. Hey, we're adding two more teams because we want that market's money without giving up our completely unsteady hold on Jacksonville and St. Louis. No, he'll never say that. He'll come out and talk about how expansion is the only way, and why it's a smart move with that shit-eating grin, and I'll inch closer to only caring about football on Saturdays....
