It would in the some of the race cars if you had the assists off. But yeah, never happens in a car like the Z lol.

it really depends on the Z. Some of them do, some of them don't. I can lose control in some of the race car models pretty easy. My issue in the time trial is that I can't get the rear end of the car to come around the way I want it to, to put down a good time. Probably practice a few more times and work on getting the car to come around better.

After playing the Academy demo, I'm pretty stoked for GT6. I really need to get a steering wheel again. With the controller, pretty much I'm either no throttle or full throttle. I find it verrrry tough to actually slowly apply power.

Anyway I set a lap of 2:28.259. I should easily be able to get a silver with a little bit more practice, but gold is a little outta reach for me haha

So this game is pretty good. I will have to keep my PS3.

I managed to gold the first 3 Academy events but the 4th one is a bit tough. I cant break 36 secs...gold is 35.8

Isnt the Z an AWD car??? Shit is loose as shit and I constantly lose the tail even with the freaking traction control on. Does that do anything?

Graphics wise I am less than impressed. The cars look great but everything else is pretty plain and muddy.

I am also not used to this PS3 controller for racing games...my right hand is a bit cramped. Send me a friend request, I want more times on my friends board...only swarley so far. jms493

That's one part I'm not worried about at all (considering this is still an early demo). The environments in GT5 are much better than anything Forza throws out that I'm sure that wont change this time around. The shadowing definitely needs work. It's better than the jaggy shit from GT5, but hopefully this is just caused from the early build of the game.

Problem is Forza 5 will be out 1 month later and GT6 wont look so hot anymore.

I don't think anyone is expecting it to compete with the graphics of a next-gen game. As long as it looks beautiful for a current-gen game and plays well, that's all I'm hoping for. Gran Turismo offers a desirable single player, unlike Forza Motorsport, so I'm still looking forward to that no matter what.

My best lap I turned was a 2:24.908 but everything went absolutely perfect that lap except when I came out of the last turn my tires dipped too far out of the track and didn't count. Swarley seen proof of that lap but best that counted was something around 2:26.8. I think I can get around low 2:25s with a little more work but without a wheel, I just don't see how to improve myself beyond that on this track with a controller

you can watch replays of the top global and region players, as of this post, the #8 best US region time belongs to someone who turned a low 2:19s lap using a controller. I figured out what I think can increase my time. If you watch some of the replays I think it reallly helps for shift and acceleration points which is exactly where I am losing so much time, apparently changing gears too much.

I think the leaf was in the Academy last year but it might've been another electric car

Well considering it's the NISSAN GT Academy lol. Also the team races a GT-R R35 and a Nissan LMP. So yeah.
